The timing chart following - cam advance 0°
Is it correct, that I have to time the cam at 108° intake centerline, to get the shown intake and exhaust timing?

You might want to make sure Isky doesnt grind in advance to it but it looks like they want it in at 108°.

Isky E-4

I just picked an old 'Isky E-4' Bumpstick, still in the box.

The lift {measured on a V-Block} came to .430"

I guess I got a 'good one'...........:burnout:

Score! The E-4 is a nice mild cam for those that want one like the stock one. I am a big fan. Man, this is a old thread! lol

T-M-M,

We are going to dial it, to see if the specs are what is/was advertised.

The 'Lift' was found to be slightly more, measuring at .429" to .430" ......

Did anybody ever post what the Horsepower and Torque gain was with the
Isky E-4 over a 'stock' 273/235 HP Camshaft.

Back-in-the-Day, we dyno'd more than few stock '273 Commando' and 'Charger 273'
engines.

On the chassis dyno {adjusted to Flywheel HP} they were in the range of
218 Horsepower

I'm guessing that the Isky E-4 would add about 10 to 13 HP..........

I don't think I have ever seen a HP 273 on a dyno. There was a video of a heavily modified 273 floating around a few years ago.

My Father tested a bunch of them back in 1967 on a Bear Chassis Dyno for
Mopar {Northeast Region}.

He said that he never got a 'factory stock' 273/235 HP to get over 220 Horsepower.
