It's 2:26am Do you know why my car wont start?

Agreed. I guess my point is use what ever you have, truck or car, and just get a custom tune.

From a performance standpoint, most of the trucks generally have a pretty weak timing table.

It's the diablo and the CMR software the same on the cars and the truck?

Yeah the software is the same so truck pcm vs car pcm is just a matter of the security andthats it. The tcm can be turned off in cmr as well as the bcm so the car pcm will only worry about the engine.

So you guys are sayin' that the truck computer could be "tuned" to run alot better performance wise? I consider both of you (myduuster and ramit) to be my official guru's, so that is why I ask. I have an 03 truck set up, street&performance wiring harness, srt8 injectors, tti headerswith complete exhaust (x-pipe), billet spacers to run a car intake on the truck motor. Runs good in the garage, but should anything be done for when it finally hits the street this spring?

At the very least the injector paramters need to be reprogramed to the SRT-8 specs. This will improve drivabilty and starting.

Any NGC pcm can be tuned with the DiabloSport Predator/Trinty

Yes. All gas Dodge use the same software package

Deisels uses a different licence, of which I don't have, but the software is the same.

My 05 truck PCM did not have SKIM thankfully so I didn't have to worry about this, but I think I found some useful info.
Here's what I found in my 05 truck service manual.
When the ignition switch is turned to the On or Start positions, the SKIM transmits an RF signal to excite the transponderin the ignition key. The SKIM then listens for a return RF signal from the transponder. If the SKIM receives an RF signal with a valid “Secret Key” and transponder identification codes, the SKIM sends a “valid key” message to the PCM/ECM over the PCI bus. If the SKIM receives an invalid RF signal or no response, it sends “invalid key” messages to the PCM/ECM. The PCM/ECM will enable or disable engine operation based upon the status of the SKIM messages. It is important to note that the default condition in the PCM or ECM is an invalid key. Therefore,
if no message is received from the SKIM by the PCM or ECM, the engine will be disabled and the vehicle immobilized after two seconds of running.

It does say you will have a VIN MISMATCH DTC if the VIN in the SKIM and PCM don't match, but it doesn't say it will prevent the engine from running. I think it is the same system as all the chrysler vehicles with SKIM.

On a related note when I was testing my wiring setup I wired in a truck instrument cluster to try to monitor things. I knew the VIN didn't match so I didn't know if it would work at all. If I plugged the cluster in after it was already running it would work so I could check temp, oil pressure and voltage, but none of the gauges worked if it was plugged in at startup.
