10 pages, we're done. Stick a fork in it. Everything that could be said has been said. Does the OP have a 4 barrel on that teen yet? He already has a "RV" cam. Screw those zero deck pistons. Too much work and expense.

I wonder if it’s intentional, or does it flow out unconsciously.

Like, is he reading the thread, then starts thinking about something not on point……….does he consider pushing the “new thread” button, or just say screw it…….. I’ll just drop this riiiiight……… here.

I don't know how much HP it takes to be honest. It also takes suspension, tune, gears, converter or I'm i wrong here too.
look here up thread:
I threw a 200,000 mile 5.9 mag in a full size truck and ran 13.0's against a head wind in it's only time out. LOL

3000# car and 300 horse can get you there according to Wallace.

Your HP is 303.58
computed from your vehicle weight of 3000 pounds and ET of 12.50 seconds.

well... what's a stock 5.9 make? a whopping 245hp

huh. imagine that.

so a fullsize truck ran 13.0's with no prep and a tired *** 5.9.... a lighter a-body that hooks up better might run a little quicker no?

c'mon son!

The DTM thread derailment mastery is in full force.

What was initially a mild 318 build thread has now morphed into a “cost of bracket racing thread”.
The original premise of the thread just a distant memory.
I always figured if the OP of any engine thread hasn't got their answer by page 2, they are not getting it. LOL

I'm pretty sure it's unconsciously done. What enters the mind comes out on print. :)

Or he's a master troll :)
i'm sticking with some kind of high school sociology experiment that's a group of students working as groups, new each semester/year and they just keep a log book on it.

then they have to write a paper at the end of the course.

or he's an alien.

With the experience and knowledge that's on here it should never take more than a page for someone to get a answer, but there's the 318 haters and those who seem to what to take someone totally away from their original intent.

You really need to give the credit to those who started talking about high dollar modifications, it seems to me that I can mention anything and all of a sudden if a thread goes off topic it's always my fault, learn to look around before you point the finger at me. Have a good day

Yes, in reading the thread, to be honest I have no comments on a lot that has been posted.

The old “best to keep quiet…” rule, but hey, as was mentioned before, went to 10 pages plus.

As I mentioned before, I listened, in the bench racing talk. I never participated or tried to add to what I don’t know.
I feel as long as thread stays informative, doesn’t get personal, let those who want to veer it off. No matter to me, this truck will never see the dyno, or a track. Maybe, just maybe a stop light take off with a fart piped Honda. But I’d really have to be in a mood for that. :)
