Many people have LA blocks...and the heads for most part are a performance gain over their existing head

Cam needs to have oil holes in number 2 and 4 journals to provide oil up the cam bearing to rocker shafts..those cam journals could also be grooved...

Are you asking if you can run an la style flat tappet hydraulic cam in a magnum? Yes, you can with different pushrods as long as your lifters you get come with oil through holes.

You can put an LA cam in a magnum block, but why would you? There is no advantage to using a FTH cam in a hydraulic roller block, only disadvantage. The profile of a hydraulic roller is vastly superior to that of the flat tappet, no worries of rolling a lobe on roller cam, no worries of high zinc oil and they run cooler and have less friction. Stick with the roller!!!
