This is what it looked like when we got it. I will go out to the barn and get a pic of what it looks like now. It is the yellow one.

After dad losing the family farm to the govt. taking it 30 years ago and just getting back into it 8 years ago from scratch we are at 50 acres currently and only have cats and chickens for animals. No I never heard of that. I farm Corn, Soybeans, Red winter Wheat, and a few acres of hay to sell. How many acres do you farm CF? Probably told us already. Love the pics. This Acrylic urethane I'm using now is very high solids calls for 4 parts paint 1 part reducer instead of the 8 to 1 mix I'm use too. covers in 2 coats so that part is good. The epoxy is 1 to 1 and lays down nice but have no idea on hold out I guess time will tell.I like Omni clear and their epoxy. I only use them on lower value cars. Actually been using the epoxy on everything. It lays down really flat.
Nice shape CF and the rust isn't bad from what I see. Here is my youngest helper and the stage the car is at today.

Ya I'm gambling on that epoxy. DPLF is just too damned expensive. This Acrylic urethane I'm using now is very high solids calls for 4 parts paint 1 part reducer instead of the 8 to 1 mix I'm use too. covers in 2 coats so that part is good. Yes it is expensive but I think you made the right choice in a cheaper brand.Ya I'm gambling on that epoxy. DPLF is just too damned expensive.
Never seen one of those Fred. The numbers are in millimeters so a 1.3 is one tenth of a mm smaller than a 1.4. It should work just fine. HVLP need high volume. DUH. lol. A lot of people do not address this. I use hi-flow fittings and and regulate at the wall. No regulating at the gun. Run the gun air regulator wide open if it has one. Looks like a good gun.View attachment 1715492360 Hey BP you ever use one the boss let me use it to see if it works better on the acrylic urethane I'm putting on the plane. It puts a lot of paint out and has a wider spray pattern he said. It is a 1.3 tip instead of the 1.4 tip the paint calls for and I don't really know what the difference is.
What no beer!!! lolWife just handed me a plate of triscuts and cheese. Life is good.
I sure thought about a beer. Had water instead. You gonna get some more painting done soon? lots of masking I reckon. What no beer!!! lol
Good wives are hard to find ya best hang on to that one.
Gonna try to get more done I am at a slow spot right now trying to get a spray gun dialed in.I sure thought about a beer. Had water instead. You gonna get some more painting done soon? lots of masking I reckon.
1.4 seems small for acrylic enamel. 1.3 might be worse but shouldn't be much different.Gonna try to get more done I am at a slow spot right now trying to get a spray gun dialed in.
This paint is thick and having a hard time getting it to lay down without over thinning it so thinking it's been the wrong spray gun. the paint is just spitting out not a fine spray.
I'm doing something wrong just haven't figured it out yet.
I'll find out tomorrow how good it sprays and hope for the best.1.4 seems small for acrylic enamel. 1.3 might be worse but shouldn't be much different.
I like the 59-60 style especially if they are lowered and a nice motor. My favorite body style for the El Camino.
Lots of patina CFHere is my youngest helper and the stage the car is at today.

Plan on it Mark gonna keep my distance from people...Everyone go home and stay home. Keep safe. That was a message from our Prime Minister today. Very good advice.
Enjoy!Well guys getting close to dinner time so tacos a Margarita on ice no salt and dig out an old movie and play couch potato and fall asleep on my easy chair till about midnight.
That is doing my duty as an American Citizen and staying home and not spread the virus.
Might cheat after dinner and go for a walk.
