So what's everyone doing today? Home alone so thought I'd clean the garage up a bit. One of the boys worked on the plane yesterday and as always left a mess for dear old dad to clean up.
But no problem will crank up some music and do the shuffle around the garage and sing as loud as I can. lol

Been snowing again overnight, got 2 or 3 inches already:mad:. Wind is currently north @20 mph. I just refreshed the weather forecast, now we have a snowfall warning issued, expecting up to 5 more inches! :mob: Tonight's low expected to hit 6F.
WTF!!!!!!!!!!

Was watching the news last night, I see north eastern North Dakota is experiencing some flooding issues again. This is probably going to head in that direction, which sure ain't gonna help things.

You can thank the environmentalist crowd for that. We can't have any of that harmful refinery business going on in this here pristine country of ours, no sir.
When I was young there was a Shell refinery less than 5 miles from my house, one of our neighbors was an engineer there and he took me on a tour one day, I was probably no more than 10 years old but remember being amazed at the myriad of pipes seemingly going in every conceivable direction. Place was decommissioned a few years later and is now only a storage and shipping facility. I used to go there regularly when I was running fuel tankers.
That's one reason I moved to North Dakota is all the tree huggers in Washington State.

Yeah, I lived in Winnipeg for 50 years, finally escaped the day after my 50th bday, never looked back. Remember plenty of floods over the years, somewhere I should have some pics from East Grand Forks N.D. after the flood of '97 when the area was wiped off the map. My house at that time backed on to what was a quiet little stream normally, but became a lake in short order. I paddled my canoe over my fence and across the neighboring golf course at the height of that one. I was fortunate that my house was well above the "normal" river level and was never really threatened, but a great many folks were not so lucky.

I'm on high ground and far from the flooding so I'm good
Never been in a flood and would think it would be devastating and clean up would take forever.
I don't blame you for leaving Winnipeg it reminds me to much of Seattle to many people and high crime rate.

We had a hell of a flood here back in 64. Amazing pictures. Our local newspaper guy, Mel
Ruder (deceased) won a Pulitzer prize for his coverage of the flood. I'll see if I can find some pics. Gusty winds here Today. Might get some of that snow but none yet.

Battening down anything loose. We're supposed to get 50-60 mph winds in the next few days. I live beside a 40 acre field and across from a 120 acre field with nothing to break up the wind. I'll let you know where the house comes down.

Morning guys, hope everyone has a great day, stay safe out there 40 more cases in bc yesterday, wash them hands !

We frequently get winds of that velocity here, sure can make life interesting.

Looks nasty I bet your glad to be on high ground.
This is from a book I have about the flood. That's hiway 2 . Same area where we first tried to have lunch together last summer.

One more. My house is now on just the edge of that wooded peninsula. That bridge I can see from my house today.
