Can't believe anything government officials say. Have to look at the numbers that is if they have been posted right.

My kid was raised around cars so in my case it would have been nice just to get him in before 18 to look at the oldies. Heck they start driving them at 16 and at that age I was buying parts for my driver back then.

I think you are correct CF , if they are 16 and with a parent , I don't see the problem!
 
Yes kids move fast , but you have a talk before you head out in the yard , if they didn’t listen , it’s called I told ya so , or life lesson , my dad was the king of I told ya so ,dummy only had to do it a couple times wrong before I listened , let the kids in !

reminds me of when my boy flipped his go-kart last year
he would complain about the pain if I tod him to go clean him room, but if I asked him to go play football, not a peep

after bout a week and a half I finally took him in for xrays (really, just to shut him up) only to find his arm really was broken

More than likely it's the insurance companies who insist on it and not the owner.
