Afternoon guys got the lawn mower ready to go and put the snow blower away.
Raked up all the crab apples up out of the yard so now it's beer time. lol

Bit of a dull day and some rain as well. Went out for a walk and put recycling out is all I did today, oh I did check the inside of my eyelids out and they were fine thank you. Sunny for the next couple of days so will work on putting new wooden sides on the trailer.

No fun BP I like trees just the cleaning up sucks.
It's been a *****. Cabling up hill with some green logs 36 inch across. Dont want to carry cut wood up that hill so I'm trying to drag large length with my old pickup. More like a cliff. Old riverbank.

I posted this on my build trend and trying to get the electric trunk popper wire in the inside of the trunk lid. No go HELP....

Well it's finally gotten to spring here, been in the 60's for the last week or two, put the snowblower away last weekend, got the Ventura out of hibernation too, hadn't run since last October, fired right up. Spent yesterday getting the lawnmower going and mowed the front lawn, then spent a couple hours trying to determine if either set of heads I have will be useable in their current state, and that's a resounding NO, my 340X heads need to be completely stripped and re-done, all the guides are fubared, and springs are rusty The 360 heads have broken bolt issues, including one that had been drilled out sometime in the past, is now oversize, and on a weird angle. Oh, did I mention it's one of the ones in a water jacket too? Was totally grumpy after that and spent the evening watching movies.
Today I took my dogs for a good long run, then decided that the Ventura needed to have last year's fuel burned off, so the wife and I took it out and went for a good long drive, racked up about 150 miles, burned maybe 1/3 of the tank. Damn that old car runs nice, floats along nice and smooth, even at 75 to 80 mph, it just hugs the road.
I'm going to have to see about getting the X heads done, or try and find a good used set, got a buddy looking around for me, have considered selling the whole damned lot already, or perhaps I need to take a year off and see what I can find.

Have you tried using a coat hanger or length of wire to feed it through? I did that on my '70, not many people expect an old car like that to have power trunk release, it's a cool feature!
