Went out early this morning to Wallyworld to get some last minute stuff and meds. It was quite windy. Quite a few people in the store actually but we weren't there that long.
Went out after lunch for a walk and not that bad considering. Bit of a mean wind coming from the North though.
Saw a couple of guys out on their motorcycles but guess if you dress for it they should be ok.
We have a complete shutdown starting 12:01 am boxing day for 28 days. Of course the big box stores will be open but should only be for essentials and not clothes or electronics etc

Well today is the 55th anniversary of taking delivery of my Dart .

So what better way to celebrate then to go out and buy a new car . So I did :)

Well no , it's a second EV .

The first is a 2016 Kia Soul EV I leased then bought after the lease was up .
The New one is a 2020 Kia Niro EV I leased today .

The best part is that's 2 less cars in my fleet that I have to do any maintenance on , no oil no fuel system no trans no belts no coolant service no brakes no tune ups no exhaust system etc.

The only maintenance is replace the cabin air filter and rotate the tires , that's all I've done to the 2016 and all I expect to do to the 2020 . Maybe some day wiper blades and washer fluid and tires . I might have to replace the 12 volt battery next year on the 2016 .

Welcome to the 21st century . Boy are these things Torque monsters .

Never had or never will buy an import. One day I may eat those words. I always buy domestic so the profits stay in our country. Yeah I know some imports are built in North America but I still consider them imports. Old school I guess.

Been raining all night and will be heavy at times and then snow overnight. That thick heavy crap. A white Christmas after all. Bah Humbug!!!!
