I have not eaten out for over a year , nothing no timhortans ,Starbucks nothing ,make it all at home.

Had lunch with my grand daughter today had pizza and pop and a good conversation and smiles.
Hard to top a day like that.

Salt is healthy...it prevents decay
Salt is one of the worst things. It causes your body to retain water which raises your blood pressure (The silent killer) Salt and sugar.. everyone needs to cut back on these things and fast foods as well. They account for all the obesity these days.

From the Mayo Clinic
Your kidneys naturally balance the amount of sodium stored in your body for optimal health. When your body sodium is low, your kidneys essentially hold on to the sodium. When body sodium is high, your kidneys excrete the excess in urine.

But if for some reason your kidneys can't eliminate enough sodium, the sodium starts to build up in your blood. Because sodium attracts and holds water, your blood volume increases, which makes your heart work harder and increases pressure in your arteries. Such diseases as congestive heart failure, cirrhosis and chronic kidney disease can make it hard for your kidneys to keep sodium levels balanced.

Some people's bodies are more sensitive to the effects of sodium than are others. If you're sodium sensitive, you retain sodium more easily, leading to fluid retention and increased blood pressure. If this becomes chronic, it can lead to heart disease, stroke, kidney disease

Got the snowblower all serviced and did some maintenance on it. One of the heat shields fell off it during the winter. What a bastard of a job to get it back in place because it had been bent somewhat. Maybe I accidentally stepped on it. I finally had to take the shoot off to gain access at the one anchor. Then I grabbed the lawnmower, primed it and one pull and away it went. That's the way I like my things to run. Been gorgeous all day but supposed to get heavy rain tonight. I'm liking that so as to get the roads clean.

Still waiting here for rain but none in site.

Chilly day today, cloudy all day, rain and snow mixed this morning, barely made it above freezing. Should be back to mid 60s by Sunday though.

no sign of rain here either
clouded skies though

but promising enough i decided to start a fire

on a side note, i was working on the lean too today
got the sheathing completed, and put an end cap on

all i need now is the shingles

the bad news is half of the ridgecap of the shed is missing too and even a few shingles are gone, so chances are im going to reshingle the entire thing

i guess i wont have to worry about matching new shingles to old

but i digress

what i was fixing to tell yall, i had all the girls over today, and they had a few friends over, so long story short, there were 6 girls on one paddle boat
now, you got to know, this pond in in the back yard, my wood pile is in the front yard, behind a different shed

so im sorting through my wood pile, looking for a somewhat straight board to use for an endcap when i hear a squeal that is somewhere in the middle of a young pig caught in the tracks of a rusty tank and the bride of dracula when she awakens from her slumber to the horror of Dr Van Helsing impaling her heart with a hickory stake...times 5

so i drop what im doing and haul back over there fully expecting the paddle boat to be sinking, and all 6 of the girls to be heading to the depth of the pond like 6 miniature titanics

i made it back to the pond just in time to see them mooring the paddleboat at my fishing pier
turns out...one of em saw a spider

:rofl:would guess the scream from the girl about killed the poor spider.
More shingle is always the case in attaching another building to a new one. Well for me anyway.

i was told one of em killed the poor spider with a sock
(there was some water in the paddle boat so they were all barefoot)

i figured i would have to run one or two rows of shingles into the existing build, but i wasnt planning on redoing the entire thing

looks like it is well past due though

Never ending job keeping a house and land up but it has to be done or it just seems to snow ball in a bigger mess.
Tell the girls not to kill a spider next time but let it go so it can eat all the mosquitoes and fly's that is way worse than a spider. lol

Winner winner chicken dinner ... see ya
