i dont know, i have witnessed people walking their dogs on the sidewalk next the the cemetery (and here in the US, they often times but right up to the road, with no walls or fences whatsoever)

and letting their dog make on the graves

mudding a jeep doesnt seem worse then that to me

Great Biff enjoy your day off but if you want to fit in with us retired guys you must forget to put your pants on when you go shopping then you'll fit in with us. lol

Got this in the mail today and haven't added anything to my property in 3 years. I called them and waiting to find out WTF is going on. I have a hard time with the idea of taxing me on upgrading my property when I have neighbors that have done nothing but clutter there place with trash and an eyesore and my place is clean and respectable. Should tax the people more for making a town look like ****.

I've said that for years Fred. If they don't want to look after their place then tax the hell out of them till they either clean it up or move. Not fair to others in the neighbourhood and devalue property. Maybe the town/city should give them a warning and if no response then send a team in, clean the place up and add it to their tax bill.
 
Well we had a fair but of rain but not as much as they predicted. They did show a street in Toronto that was completely flooded though with some cars driving through it. They said the culprit was more than likely that people hadn't cleaned the drain of leaves and garbage. The sun was out for a few hours this afternoon and is cooling down now.
Being lousy outside we just stayed inside and did a major clean-up in the house.
Update on my son's neighbour, the cops did take him to the hospital into the psych ward for 14 days assessment.

I don't mind a bit of clutter and is not my place to condemn a person for what they have in there yard as long as it doesn't effect my yard or me or the neighbors.

Every place can't be a showcase and that is understandable. But if you can't make it decent and not an eyesore then move into an apartment. We have one place just around the corner from us and with no exaggeration he has 5 cars. One is drivable the 4 others are in some state of disassemble. The rest of the property has junk all over with an engine crane and a floor jack and safety stand and other equipment on the driveway etc etc etc. It's a real shithole and not fair to the neighbours.

Neighbors yard but no one has lived there in 15 or so years. I can live with that kind of yard but that white ford with the drivers door open I have closed that door many times and it latches just fine but a few days and it's open again. for over 5 years Iv'e shut that car door and it keeps opening. I'll never try to shut it this year. lol

And sadly those cars will probably never be rebuilt and slowly rust away to a pile of scrap especially sitting on dirt. We have a house 2 doors south of us that's been empty for 29 yrs. The guys keeps the grass cut and one neighbour parks in the driveway and keeps the snow cleaned up. Maybe with the way real estate is going he'll sell it this year. He's a financial advisor, don't think I'll take any advice for him lol.
