Yes I used to build (technically called erecting) the draglines for the open pit coal mines. They weld the sections of the draglines in factories then ship it to the mine. Then we would fit sections together and weld them into a base and rotating structure and assemble the machinery onto it. Where did you take the picture?

Not sure Gary the boys sent me the picture. Do you have any pictures of any up close to show the size?

Good day guys , been a lazy Sunday weather is spring like ,got a good walk in missed the down pour ! doing some hazmat studying for my fireman's test , last written exam before practicals , then can be certified for exterior fire fighting ,it’s a lot late in life to start something new but what the hell ! They are a great bunch of men and women to train along side .

Did that for 5 years in the fire department and went through extensive training. Good for you Biff and know you'll be good at it. I saved only one dog in a house fire and it bit me trying to save it, but it was still alive when I got out of the fire and we got out of the house. Really surprised the dog was still alive but a small dog that I put in my coat to protect it from the heat till we got out of the house. Damn dog didn't want anything to do with me after saving it.
 
Morning guys. My wife likes Swiss Chalet chicken. I don't care for it, too greasy for me. So being Mother's Day I went there to the take out section and placed my order for one 1/4 dinner. Time on the receipt said 5:18. Paid for it and went and waited in the car as told. 1 hr and 7 minutes later they finally came out with the order. I asked twice to check and see what's going on with no results. In the meantime I had a sub sitting there getting cold and my blood pressure is going up. Yeah ok it's Mother's Day but the dining room was closed due to Covid and people lined up and food delivery services running in and out it was busy and I understand that but over an over to get my order. On the receipt it says "Let us know how we did". LOL you know I will!!! At least my wife appreciated what I did for her as it was a surprise.
 
The lady that lives 5 houses from me brings her lawnmower to me and asks me to look at it. It hasn't run for two years she says.
Finished off what I was doing and looked at it, Honda motor and fairly new. Right off the top someone had turned the gas off. I put some fresh gas in the cylinder and two pulls and away it went. Ran quite nice but running on 2 year gas. Stopped it and tried to start but wouldn't go so dumped all the gas out and then put some new stuff in the cylinder and boom away she went. I love jobs like that. A quick 20 bucks.
