Had a friend stop by yesterday I haven't seen in over a year. He has a 68 Camaro he just had painted and wants me to come check out the paint job.
I don't like picking somebody's car apart but he's not happy with it and from what he told me they did a shitty job.
He loved the work I'm doing on the old truck and took a bunch of pictures and gave me some good ideas. His sense of humor is like mine a bit off normal. lol

Morning fellas and Happy Saturday.
This is a three day weekend for some people especially gov. workers
They call it Family Day but of course some people have to work. If it's good for one it's good for all!! Apparently not though. I'll be taking the day off for sure though

Our kids had a snow day yesterday, so we have a 4 day weekend

I took em all to work with me
It's fun to see them squirm as I'm whipping the plow truck around

BTW Fred one of your neighbour's security camera got a shot of you taking Patches out for a walk.
Hope she wasn't cold and deflated some

It was cold out this morning but sunny and so washed the car up.
So now they are saying 6" of snow ahead.
We're not going anywhere unless we have to but doesn't matter. I bought the wash package and can wash it everyday if I want to for the next 30 days. Washed it twice so far. the package is 28 bucks. Last time I bought the package I washed it 6 times so 5 bucks a wash. Good deal in my books.
It was a little nippy on the hands though drying it off with the chamois

10 bucks to wash a car here and a lousy job but ya get a blow dry.

It’s not Herman and it takes all day to take your jacket off but it works. 2000 square with 14 foot ceiling and only 1/4 of the ceiling insulated so far

Those heat exchangers work good, couple of friends have them. Herman is not any much more than that, 2 steel fridge boxes one on top of the other furnace blower on back, heat exchanger in top fridge limit switch from oil furnace mounted in top fridge. Took some experimenting to find correct location. Stove choke damper. Been operating like that since about 85. Replaced blower motor once and regular cleanings. The only ***** is he’s hungry all winter long.

By your pic I see you have the customary non combustible heat sink piled around stove. Not on the stove but close to it I have a couple of nice round stones a little bigger than a grapefruit, they work really well for warming up fingers.

Morning guys and Happy Funday.
Going to be warmer today and sunny.
Now the snow is supposed to come in later this week. On the 9th of never would be fine with me
Have a great day

Splurge buy the isolation even if it’s only R12 and a roll of poly for now, the rest can wait you can blow in the rest after it’s sheeted. It’s the way I built every building on the property little bit at a time. Took a little over two years to build my house, saved a **** pile

Built my garage with the help of my boys even did the cement work and saved about 10 grand.
Not good at building and even worse at doing cement but after 5 years it doesn't leak and still standing so I'm happy.

Ya if you can read a tape measure and know which end of the hammer to use the rest can be figured out. Spent my life working in building construction. Saw a lot of stuff but still had to ask other trades questions and read books.

I like doing everything myself I even change my oil in my car just to save a buck and whatever I do at least I know what I got.
Cooking on the other hand I would rather farm out. lol
