Some speculation that the Alberta fires were started to affect the upcoming provincial election. I really hope that is not true, but nothing surprises me much these days.
I *believe* it was because they had discontinued using the right angle filter adapters, which allowed use of the longer (PH8A and similar) filters in A bodies. Without the adapters, they had to go to a shorter filter to clear everything.Fat a question for you guy’s. My car came without a right angle filter adapter. Needed one for header clearance with cheap *** appliance headers. The hooker headers I have now do not require a right angle adapter. Think it has to do with oil capacity maybe???????? It’s definitely not a clearance problem. In my owner’s manual it gives the mopar # 3549957 which changes up to Fram PH 43. With the adapter depending on how you have it set seems to me you would need a check valve or your engine would run with no pressure till the filter filled up.Somebody will know. You need to get the question out there in the general population.
