I use the 3/8"-3/4" openings. That will hold almost anything over the fire. Get up there around the 1 1/2" you might lose some mushrooms

Yup, it's built with an old golf club We put the hook sideways on the shaft. Easier to get hold of the meat on the fire.
Sounds like a good time and good food.I have a fire pit in back yard. Once in a blue moon we invite a **** load of friends and family for a bon fire. Stay up all night drinking and partying and feeding the fire. The next day the fire pit is right full of coals. Feed it during the day and prepare a boat load of food for the can cooker. Chicken pork chop’s sausage potatoes corn etc pour 3 cans of beer with food in can cooker and buried it in coals in fire pit. Hour or so later pour it all into a cooler an dig in. Need lots of people, because there’s a lot of good food.
You want to try a can cooker some time. You can use an old cream can if you drill a steam hole in itSounds like a good time and good food.
**** Murray my cooking is first grade and I still am trying to get use to cooking to pass the second grade. You want to try a can cooker some time. You can use an old cream can if you drill a steam hole in it
If you buy a can cooker it comes with recipes. Try one adjust to your taste. Just like every other recipe you have tried. The first steer I shot at the farm, we were cutting up the meat. I said to the FIL I’ve never done this before how do I do this. He said cut a chunk off put it in the pot cook it eat it, if you don’t like it like that don’t cut it that way again.**** Murray my cooking is first grade and I still am trying to get use to cooking to pass the second grade.

Welcome back Y13, Hope your day went well.I can post again
Im just a simple city slicker compared to you all. I would need to expand my backyard to house that behemoth
That would be great to visit that town one day. Thanks for the pictures Mark. When we were in the U.K. we stayed in this little town. There weren't even any stores but they did have a pub of course.
We stayed in a B&B across the road from this Inn called The George.
We had lunch and supper there. We ate supper in the dungeon because back in 1850 it was also a court and jail.
Once a month a judge would come around (he was known as the Hanging Judge").
One day they hung 13 criminals outside on the street.
It is the oldest pub in the U.K.

It’s closer than you think Fred didn’t freeze hard last night but it still made frost on the BBQ cover, deck rail. Nothing on windshield or car but I guess they hold some heat. It’s coming Fred nothing we can do. Found the power draw on the Dart. 2 places faulty amp gauge, and msd ignition. Got a new amp gauge coming from OER and put a relay on the Msd. Don’t know why the ignition box needs to be powered all the time. Anyone have an answer I’d like to hear it.Morning guys, didn't freeze last night so I'm happy.
Looks like it's going to be winter soon Murray. I have a good friend that can answer that MSD problem and he's on FABO I'll try and hook you up with him. It’s closer than you think Fred didn’t freeze hard last night but it still made frost on the BBQ cover, deck rail.
