Hi FOG...we got it yesterday and really heavy at first. The rain was bouncing off the roof of the garage. Then it turned into a nice rain. Looks like it rained overnight because I looked out at 5am and the ground was still wet. That humidity is supposed to leave us today. Hope it does so we can open the windows again.
Yes Mark I figured you got it, when I checked the radar everything was above us, suppose to cool down for the next couple of days, hope they are right , stay cool have a great day.

Thanks FOG. The humidity is gone and the windows open with a nice breeze. Really nice now. I can go outside without breathing heavy and sweating just thinking about doing something

Was 93 /35 yesterday a little cooler today 30 to hot for this guy , I prefer the 20 and sunny but what ever Mother Nature is the boss :wtf:

Scored an aluminum Mopar intake yesterday. Brand new and still in the plastic bag. Never been installed (no bolt marks) 160 bucks. Stole it. Now I just have to sell the factory one once the new one is installed.

Wow that was a good find Mark. That's what I'm running on the scamp, are you going to install it your self?

Probably Fred....the only hard part is lifting that old intake off and over the fender without dropping it. When you're short like me it makes it harder and not as young as I used to be either.

Yep, took my engine apart last winter and put it back together and put my back out.
Remember when we were young and could work under the hood all day without getting sore?

Yeah no kidding. My back is a little iffy at the best of times from all the heavy lifting I've done over the years. So maybe I'll get my buddy to do it and I can help.

My boys decided this summer that they want to help on the scamp so I'm hopping they can do all the heavy lifting. I'll just set back and watch.
 
That's the way to do it Fred and they need to learn too so killing 2 birds with one stone.
None of my boys learned how to do body work and always wanted at least one to learn how.
Been trying to get one to learn how to do paintless dent repair, good money in it.
They all can wrench but would like them to learn more.
And quality time together.

Dent repair is a goldmine as long as you have the patients to do it. I love family time.

I don't anymore Mark been doing it since 1980 something.
If you have the time Mark get some pictures of the manifold swap, would love to come over and help but not going to happen and pictures are the next best thing.
 
Well guys so here’s my day.The shop I work at hired a new mechanic (he calls himself that) I watched him struggle for 2days yes two days on balljoints on a f 350 it’s hammer and nails stuff ,I have done many of these and even the first one I ever did didn’t take me the day , I asked him if he wanted help he told me to mind my own business, I explained that we’re a team if I could help ? He again told me to fuk off and mind my own business so , I again explained I’m the shop Forman and if I could help I will , he then told me if he wanted help he would ask (I think he needs meds) so .....that was my day ,on the bright side it was cooler today ! Cheers

And sorry about not answering on the small block engine forum doing the 408 I got all mixed up trying to keep up. But did as you said and seems like the way to go. Damn Biff sure wish you lived a little closer.
