As long as you can come out ahead and be able to plant next year than it will be worth it. I would hate to see another small farmer stop farming.
 
Morning guys...going to be the hottest day of the year today. Finally finished off the new shed yesterday and glad that is out of the way. Just have to get the Birch cut down and that is it for this year. Have a great hump day and keep cool.

Morning Mark, glad you got the shed finished and I will keep cool here it's 5*c this morning.
it will warm up but looks like I will start the furnace soon.
Are you cutting the tree down or are you gonna get some one to do it?

Hi Fred...a man and woman are coming to cut the tree down. She is a real going concern and does most of the cutting and he does the grunt work. You wouldn't think she'd be the type to do that by her looks. She sure is good at climbing trees. Let the young folks do that now I'm way past doing that but have brought down a number of trees in my day. These people have a bucket truck and also covered by insurance and workman's compensation as well. The tree is also close to the house and overhangs the deck and cable and phone lines so no way I'm doing it. They are also grinding the stump out as well. It's a 1000 bucks but well worth as the tree has outlived it's life. It was planted in 1957 and really starting to show it's age.

Don't blame you Mark. I have a son that does tree service and I let him take care of my trees.
Kinda weird seeing a woman cutting up a tree but if she is good at it than what the hell.

Had a red fox in the back yard this morning we usually have deer so nice to see something different.
 
Oh my it's hot today. The Weather Channel says it's 41c with the humidity that's 105.8F for you guys down South. Don't think I'll go to the car show tonight even if it is the last one downtown.

I didn't do hardly anything today. Turned the ac on and sat and watched tv most of the day. Needed a break from working the last few days in the heat.

Well mark my son doesn't work tonight and we been siting around and playing Nerf darts and so far we are pretty much even.
Kinda strange not working all the time and have time to look around and watch what goes on in the yard.
