It was a big event there going on for 3 days lot's of cars. the cost was $40 per driver and I went once and my son went twice, but couldn't get traction. A guy came up to us and said he had a pair of slicks that would fit my car and would give them to me. Good people there Biff.

They are cheap tires and it sure makes a big difference.
Sure had a good time Mark and met a new friend off this forum there he's running a 73 duster with a 408 stroker real nice car and he lives about 50 miles from me so hope to hang out with him now and then. I had no idea how many mopars are around here the track was filled with them, I felt like a kid in a candy store.

My wife and I have been putting a new shed together. Going not too bad and we haven't killed each other yet so all is good. We work a while then go and grab some shade and a cold water. Been really hot for a project like that. I learned a few new curse words too. A guy is coming today hopefully to take the old one away. The shed is still in good shape and like a tank. He's bringing a car trailer so it doesn't have to be dismantled. (and lots of help, it's heavy)

Morning Mark, Glad to here your wife hasn't killed you yet. lol
How big is your shed your putting up? I need to build one also but not sure if I will make it free standing or attach it to the back of the garage.

It’s all about seat time it’s a whole different ball game lites , people watching , etc ,you half to block that all out and drive your own race . Try and do the same thing every time , helps the consistency.

Now if you could only help with the body work on the valiant, can’t get sheet metal for quarters, fenders, every body wants an arm and a leg for fenders if there out there kinda stuck at this point although I’m still slowly plugging away ,

I would help with the body and paint I think we would have a great time working on it.
Been looking around here for cars and parts but nothing good so far. I know of a wrecking yard about 100 miles from here that has some old Mopars that I need to check out and will soon I hope, If I find anything I'll let you know.
 
Was in the garage cleaning the rubber off the 1/4 panels on the scamp from the drags, and the bugs from driving it there and back home. Nothing else to do so I thought I would clean the bugs off the old truck and no bugs! So if you drive at 25 mph you will not have to clean the bugs out of the grill.
let someone else smash bugs to keep the population down and drive slow. I should patent that idea.
 
Just got back from a test drive in the truck my son got. We spent the weekend sweatty and rebuilt the trans in it. We made a list of other things we need to fix before it goes on the road. Looks like it will be a good truck and if it runs out good I may get pionters from Fred and repaint it.

Sounds like my kind of truck. I have an 88 chevy 4x4 1/2 ton that is mostly rust but still has a little bit of paint silver and red with a red interior. newer engine and tranny runs and drives great and if I don't hit to many bumps on the road most of the truck makes it back home.
You bet I will help with the paint job or maybe it just needs a good polish.

It needs paint and some body work. The cab corners and above the back tires has rust but the rest of it is pretty good.
