I have wondered if they taste like Venison or beef?
Never tried it CF. Wouldn't eat anything that ugly but it is supposed to be quite tender and very little fat. I have eaten venison before but I was just a kid then. No inclination to try it again. But put a roast beef in front of me and I'd kill that for sure.

Well back home from driving truck. Made it north of Minot a few miles and the roads were slippery and 2 cars slid off the road in front of me almost got one. Sooooo I turned around and came home and had to drive 50 mph or less the first 60 miles because of slippery roads and couldn't see to far.
Had to put up with bad weather driving semi for over 10 years and I am done. I haven't killed anyone yet and don't plan on it.

Wow sounds scary... We had sprinkles of rain here so most of southern Cal is shut down due to the fact that no one here knows what rain is let alone how to drive in it... lol

Don't send them up here we got enough people from the south that can't handle the weather.
I use to take a load from here and take it to Texas around Fort Worth and one winter the bridges were icy and cars would pass me and get back in front of me then slam on there breaks when they came to a bridge. I had to stop for a day so I wouldn't kill someone.
I think everyone should see what it's like to drive a semi.

Everyone should have to go for their driving test in a semi LOL.

Morning Mark, -2*c this morning and no snow thank god.
Morning Fred...11c here this morning and raining cats and dogs with lightning. Hoping it dries up after lunch so I can cut the grass. We have all the family coming on Saturday (celebrating our Thanksgiving) so it's the last 3 day weekend before Xmas.

Thanksgiving is a mixed holiday for me. It's great to have all the family around but also sad memories as well as my Dad died Thanksgiving Day Oct12/1987. Been 31 years this year and miss him greatly. Great memories though.
Have a safe journey to Pennsylvania and back and have a great time with your Father-in-Law.

Sorry you lost your Dad like that Mark, from what you told me about him I would have enjoyed knowing him.
I'm gonna try to spend as much time with my father in law as I can he will be 84 soon and not getting any younger.

Our families were all together for the weekend and he had a major heart attack and lasted 24 hrs. He was only 67 at the time so he lost out on a lot of life and only got to see his Grandkids, no Great-Grandkids. He would have loved them to say the least. He had a bit of the devil in him and had a great sense of humour. He has a legacy around here, he started a singing group around here as a Centenary Project in 1967 and it's still going and just celebrated their 51st year. It started out with 12 people and boasts over 50 now. They have made a couple of records and have been on tours in Europe etc.
I think that is lovely for you to take care of your Father-in-Law like that. Good for you Fred.

Would be great to here the old group sing. What's the name of the singing group Mark would like to look them up.

They are called The County Town Singers.
Just looked them up Mark they sing good. Your dad did a good job putting it together and would think it's not easy getting it going.
I like to sing but sound like crap so I just hum.

He's a good kid; I'm lucky I raised my god son and his step brother just before my son came along and I learned a lot so now that I'm a bit older and understand things better I think I'm a better father for it and know both my boys will be in my life for ever. I couldn't be more proud of them

My oldest (god son) is in the back handling my rifle and his brother handling there new rifle and my father in-law freaking out cause were sighting out my window lol.
