Now I have an anti-freeze leak at the thermostat housing. I replaced the gasket and used RTV silicone on both sides of the gasket and reinstalled everything. Fired it up and let it build pressure and still leaks....GRRRR. It is a chrome housing...is that the problem? I've heard they can cause trouble.

I had that problem with mine finely replaced it and is good so far but not a crime one.

Pull it off draw file it ,true it up , no silicone use permatex aviation gasket sealer it’s black and goes on with a brush get a new paper gasket and try again .leaks suck!
 
Morning again guys. Going to be a gorgeous day. No car show today being a long weekend. Going out to buy a Bloodgood Japanese Maple tree. It's going in the same spot as our birch. Will be a madhouse at the nursery today.

Morning Mark I like going to the nursery or green house lots to choose from. Been real busy at ours also but I need to get some shrubs to put in my front yard.

Morning guys sunny finally and gonna start to warm up again.
Busy day shopping and lawn mowing and house cleaning today.
 
Morning Fred. Sunny here today here as well. Beautiful day yesterday and got a lot done and some friends dropped over as well. Made for a nice afternoon.

Yeah I was talking to him the other day on Facebook. I asked him if he had the Duster out yet and he said he hadn't even started it yet. He could be away for the weekend being a 3 day or maybe got the car fired up and doesn't want to shut it off just drive it.

That's what I would do nice 3 day drive would be nice.
I worked on fitting the deck lid and fender extensions on the scamp over the weekend and the steering column as well. repairing and fitting the rear lower panel now.
