I don't know about the part number, but yes, leaf springs can be restored. They can be re-arched, but it won't last as long as new springs by a good margin, plus, the cost is probably about the same or even a little more than new springs. I've re-arched a good many springs before. It's kinda a lost art. I prefer to re-arch them cold, but some people heat them up. The heated springs really don't last very long at all......well I've never seen any that do. When new springs are so affordable, that's the direction I recommend.
Brian do they restore the springs also? Want the to look new
If that's the case, he needs them restored. I don't even know of anyone that does it. Maybe that John R Spring place can help.I think he needs to keep his original springs with the part # in them.

That's actually good they were removed. Sitting up in one spot for prolonged periods with weight on them is what kills them quickly. Driving down the road, not so much.Yes I found a set of 081 springs that probably were original ro the car. They were taken off early and have been bouncing around for 50 years. They are not horrible but definitely need work
1970 duster 340 springs are 3400081. KimFirst off does anyone restore original leaf spring? And secondly can anyone tell me exactly what spring part number 2403853 is?
