Lets see those SUPERCHARGER A-Bodies

Dorian, what ET's are you running? I see 11.60 on the window but didn't know if that was from an old run.

You guys with roots blowers, are you running any kind of intercooler on the street?

No intercooler here. The only kind of cooler I have seen with a roots is one that goes under the blower and is about 4 inches tall.

Ok thanks, that's what made me wonder, the only car I've seen one on had a really tall one. Although using fuel injection could help eliminate some of the height. A couple good carbs is simpler though.

Carbs and Roots blowers kind of go together, Roots blowers aren't very efficient and whip the air around a lot which heats it up; having the fuel go into the blower with the air cools it down. Gale Banks did an interesting test of a Roots blower on top of a Duramax diesel (it's on YouTube) and the blower self-destructed from heat because there was no fuel going through it. He proved that screw-type blowers are superior (like the ones used by all OEMs, Eaton, Magnuson etc), sadly nobody makes a "kit" to put one on an old-school Mopar V8 as far as I know.

Can't argue with the cool factor of a Roots blower though. The most intimidating-looking thing to have in your engine bay, turbos and centrifugal blowers are cool but most of what you see is just piping.

It’s a work in progress constantly evolving @mopardude318

I’ve been waiting for you @mopardude318 to unveil your B&M kit you have on something!
Well, earlier I posted That I was building an engine specifically for the B&M kit I have, but I was wrong, I’M not building it, Brian at IMM Engines is building it.
It’s going in my ‘74 W200.

For a little while I was stuck on coming up with a 10 rib pulley drive setup. I had the 6 rib pulley essentially copied, and made with 10 ribs because I’ve read of a lot of belt slip issues with the 6 rib.
I also had to buy a shorter blower snout, ($$$), and cut an inch off of the crank blower pulley spacer. I have it all pretty much figured out, but I gave up once I couldn’t make it work with a mechanical clutch fan, I didn’t wanna go electric. Lol. So all that stuff is just sitting on the shelf.

I sent the blower to Martin’s Superchargers, he rebuilt the whole thing, put new Teflon on the rotors, corrects the rotor phasing and runs them through his dyno.
This engine pic is just mock up on a 360 that’s currently in my power wagon with Chinese heads. Lol

I definitely want to go to ten rib but lower crank pulley is the obstacle. My set up does have slippage but not terrible. The motor is way over built for the boost presently. @mopardude318
