Let's see your Dodge pickups

My aunt had a simple old Beaumont with a 454. I l slobbered over that car when I visited her in Saskatchewan. Lots of Mopars up there too.

Heck yeah man! I went to school with a friend who had a Beaumont with a 307. We loved that car. It was the coolest.

Who would of thunk it. My neighbor had a sweptline and I thought it was the uglyist thing on earth and now I want one, With a slant no less. :)

Really not much to it. I found the engine on CL advertised as a 354. Brought it home and discovered is was a heavy duty truck 331. The seller even insisted on refunding me 100 bucks, even though I told him please don't, because I was happy with the purchase.

I went through it top to bottom. Put the one year only 8.5:1 1955 pistons in it. We milled the heads only .025" which brought it up to 9.3:1. The reason is because how the chambers are made. It doesn't take much to make a BIG difference because you're removing from the ENTIRE half sphere of the chamber.

I had Oregon Cam Grinders grind a nasty small solid out of the original hydraulic. .453, 240 @ .050" ground on a 106. I wanted low lift, because the exhaust rockers are very long ans cannot take a lot of spring pressure. Me and Desktop Dyno figure about 350 or so HP and maybe a little more in torque. All that's not really important as it's going to look and sound ominous. Especially with home made zoomies. lol

That intake manifold is a pretty rare piece. Factory two one barrel intake with trans dapt one to two barrel adapters and two GM 2GC carburetors. The transmission behind it is a late 70s Dodge truck 4 speed over drive. The chassis is a 83 D150 with a Dana 70 dually rear and one ton front stuff. I have sorta neglected it, but it is fixin to come to the front when I get the Valiant tagged and start driving it.
First glance looked like single wide tire on the rear. Needs super single tires on the back.

South America had Desoto trucks built in Brazil, IIRC. The only one I have seen a pic of was made like the 57-59 sweptside pickups.

440/727/3.91 Sure Grip
And it’s for sale

Here is a pic of Grampas Fargo(fart n go). This is on my Aunt Shirley and Uncle Don's Wedding Day. I think around 72-3. Me in the blue shirt n tie.
I'll dig for a better pic of truck.
They were pretty common here back in the day. Local wrecking yard close to me had quite a few.
How many Fargos you all seen?

I like the beaumonts a lot, a good read, if you can find it

The hardback is the one you really want because it's larger and easier to read, but it's prohibitively expensive.
Here is he one I mentioned earlier, it used I believe 56 plymouth wagon quarters as the bedside instead of the 57 Coronet like the Dodge and Fargo used.

And I correct myself, made in Argentina, sold in Australia, UK, Spain, amd Turkey, according to Wikipedia.
And a late 50s or early 60s, I'd like to see more of that bed

And my favorite COE, it's so ugly it's pretty. Check out the oversized 80's pentastar K car emblem. I could see Dolph Lundgren and Arnold Shrwazenegger having a knock down dragout over who would drive.

My Mexico built 88 Ramcharger, every other Ramcharger two wheel drive I see 318 and 904 trans, and the small 8 1/4 rear end, this one is a 360 4 barrel 727, 9 1/4 rear end, equipped with sway bars front and rear. Been driving it for 6 years I believe

This was actually my first Chrysler product. I was planning on moving and I'd sold off my previous F-150 a year earlier. I had about $6K to spend and everything I was seeing was way over that or had close to 200K miles and tons of rust. This '03 showed up as a southern truck (no rust) and with only 80 some thousand miles for the right price. I gave Dodge a try and I'm glad I did.

Taken last summer while vacationing in Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg. Blue is my son, beige is me. 06/05 respectively. Both 2500 4x4 Cummins. This is the mountain overlook where my tail pipe broke off the back of the muffler.

Here's 3 of my herd. '80 stepside when I brought it home a year or so ago; '77 is a constant work in progress, it started out as an abused orange Warlock; 4 door is my nice driver, doesn't get used too much.
