Lock on glovebox door

i am trying to change the facial on my glovebox door and can't figure out how to separate the lock from the twist handle I am sure I am missing something simple

Use your finger and push the latch part of the lock all the way against the spring as far as it will go and the knob and internals will slide out.

I am trying that it may just be stuck or that isn't it

There is a pin to push in also from the bottom

I was having no luck getting it off till i found this post that makes it clear where you should be pressing your pick to depress the tab.
Then you insert your paper clip in the tiny hole of the latch and bingo, it's done
