Back when CudaJim owned this car (he's in the video) I took this video. I've been searching for this tape for a long time (It would be nice to figure out how to restore this tape, but for now this is it)

1985. Damn. I feel old.

Very cool video.

If that tape was made sort of commercially, it might have Macrovision (a type of copy protection) in it that shows colored lines when copied. If it looks good while playing on TV, and bad when it is copied, you need to have it done by someone with the equipment to remove it.

No, I took the video on my dad's old BetaMovie camcorder and copied to VHS in 1986. No copy protection and no ownership issues with the media, just old and degraded and the original Beta tape is nowhere to be found (and YES, I do have a working Beta VCR...).

Hey, that's me in the video with my old car. I was actually skinny back then! BTW, I also still have a Beta machine in the corner of the garage somewhere.

That is really cool. What could be better than driving a classic mopar in 1985? The music, the clothes...I was born too late. Nice to see Cal Expo back in the day.

Jim, you were also younger.....then again so was I and I was a lot thinner, too.

Went to Cal Expo back in 90,great show! I was blown away by the size of Tognottis Speed, not everyday you see a supermarket converted to a speed shop.

Nope, no fuzzy dice. I never cared much for them so they will NOT be making a comeback in my car.

Hell yeah: bad tracking, dirty heads and worn out tape. I remember most of the skin flix back in the day looking that good. Didn't matter......Cool find. I found my Marine Corps boot camp final drill inspection on someones videotape from the grandstands on youtube and it only looked a little better than that from 1986. Funny thing is I don't remember anyone watching us? It was us though, same drill instructor and same "Guide".
