Not even close to being true. Rallye dash cars and standard dash cars were pretty different, and the colors used for some circuits changed over that range. Not to mention the addition of electronic ignition, seat belt interlock devices, etc. I made a changeover diagram when I installed a rallye dash in my '74 Duster, if what you said was actually true that wouldn't have been necessary.

MyMopar has changed their layout some, you can download all of the wiring diagrams by year.

You can look at the Valiant and the Dart versions and compare. Nothing is exact, but this is the one closest to my '74 Duster.

The best diagrams are going to be in the factory service manual.
For '74 you'll have to buy a copy. I don't know of any place that has them as a download.
You'll have to buy either print copy or on a CD.
I would think Bishko is your best bet, and I know they will ship overseas.

Depending on what you want to do, a '73 service manual download might get you started.
However keep in mind the stuff 72bluNblu stated is all true. Off the top of my head, I beleive '74 is the first year for the seatbelt interlock. Fortunately you can look up how they work in the Master Technicians Conference.

Also if your Duster has the optional electric defroster grid in the rear window, it would have a different power feed arrangement. Those are shown in the shop manual.

'74 is a disaster is what it is.

1 year only seat belt ignition lock out, and that stupid "delay box" or whatever that's a separate circuit board. I'm not saying they aren't out there, but I have yet to see a wiring diagram fully depict all the stuff that was in the '74 harness. It's basically a 1 year only deal.

Seatbelt interlock.... so that's why I have a "fasten your seatbelt" sign in the dash? LOL. Had no idea. I don't think the unit is there anymore. And my car has no air system whatsoever apart from the forced air on left side.

I think it's very weird that at this point we still struggle to find basic material such as wiring diagram and decals vector.
I've been making some and putting it available online as much as I can to help others but still couldn't find (or create from scratch) the decals for the 74.

It might be, but my recollection is the seatbelt reminder light and/or chime also existed seperately from the interlock.
Electric defrost grid is a resistance heating material on the glass. Different than the hot air blower units (also an option) and not related to air conditioning.
How rare is electric rear defrost?

I have a '74. Of course, it has that small box under the hood that only '74's have, which i currently have bypassed. I was wonder if anyone has installed a different year wiring harness in a '74. Harness swap ???

Turns out.... my car is a 73! LOL.

I can explain....
I bought the car, received it at home when I was very ill and went to ICU a couple of days later.
Back home after 10 days could barely remember my name and the memory was improving during the following month...
And for some reason I assumed it was 74 and been saying 74 for the past year and a half. LOLOLOL.

Just realised now searching for something about folding rear seat option... well...

So if anyone has a 1973!!!! wiring diagram I'll appreciate.

But at least with all this mess I managed to get an awesome literature from 67Dart273 which I'm trying to make easily accessible to all.
