-
I have the defrost vents in black, and I suggest you message member "fstfish66" Don for the radio delete plate. He has one listed here for a 66 Cuda, undoubtably the same!! $25 shipped of the defrost vents. PM if you're interested, geof

Hey geof, yes thanks for reply i am interested in defrost vents for 66 dart two for 25.00 is fine. How do we make this happen? again thanks. bob

think I have delete plate but it's not in the best shape, I can try to get a pic of it, and get it to you. PM me if you are still needing it.

Looking to purchase radio delete plate for a 1966 dart. Also in need of defrost vents for same.

are you looking for a delete plate for a GT or non GT? I have the pattern for the non GT but haven't cast(or made all the molds yet, too many darn irons in the fire!) any parts off of them yet. I will be trying to make a GT radio delete plate with A/c and with heat. so I can run a hidden radio if I want/need to.

top right one is radio delete non GT (it has the side piece on it that stops the trim at that piece). the others are GT style pieces. one of them babys (of each style) is going to be sacrificed to make a A/C radio delete and heater with radio delete.
I'm going to leave 1 of the radio holes in them to give me an extra power plug.

I'm trying to get all the different types of bezels since nobody makes them and most of them are hacked up. and I do like the way the spray chrome cam out on the parts (with proper prep. the first 2 times the tape peeled the chrome off) so they can look really good!

Bob
if no one else has one for you as soon as I can get(the money again) the rubber RTV and resin shipped to me. I'll make that my first cast of heater bezels and make one for ya. I just used the last of my rtv for a little motorcycle project and the guy hasn't paid in full yet. You will have to spray chrome it and paint it but it'll be a good casting. since they will look like the one in the picture. may take a bit but I'll push to get it done. pm me if that's the way you want to go.

YES THAT'S PERFECT THANKS SO MUCH .TIME FRAME NOT A ISSUE I HAVE ONE WITH RADIO CUT OUT ALREADY.{just looks goofy with no radio} LET ME KNOW WHEN YOR READY WITH PRICE . AGIN THANKS FOR REPLY --bob--

Import magnesium? Is this type of paint or a color? What about the chrome part, around the edges? Are you sanding with 1000 or finer? How is the best way to strip everything to bare plastic? Thanks for the input.

Import magneium is a color ,any jober should carry in spray can.closest to oe i could find . use a course grit to remove, then wet sand smooth.primer then sand again to fill.just need to mask off paint in stages.my chrome was gone so i just painted

see above pictures in my post they were cleaned with the Original yellow cap easy off oven cleaner. no sanding involved just spray (cover with paper towel) wait for a while and scrub off, may take a couple of coats to even get rid of the crumbly chrome. then spray chrome and detail plus it leaves the part with a nice shint smooth surface for spray chroming. here's some that were cleaned and sprayed.

total price was
200.00 spray chrome (if I see flaws or it peels he'll reshoot the chrome) the radio bezel didn't come out good when I taped it and he's reshooting that after i strip it back down. (with him using 2k paint for the base and clear easy off is struggling but it's working (slowly with many coats) to remove the stuff.
7.00 1 can of argent silver (really the wrong color but I liked it!)
5.95 1 can of satin black from krylon. matched the plastic glove box locking piece really close.
so for 213.00 plus 2 bucks tax on the 12.95 for paint and time I have a nice set of bezels.

COOL I just realized that was a radio AND heater Delete.. that is soo cool

I wasn't looking for another project, but couldn't pass this one up. The first time I looked at it, I saw the radio delete but couldn't figure out what else was different. The car was 5 hrs away, so I took a bunch of pictures and was looking thru them one night and realized what I was missing. I called about the Dart and just happened to ask if he had any other early a bodies. He mentioned he also had a 65 Valiant 200, 273, 2bbl, 4 door with a factory 4 speed! HuH!!!When I went to buy it, I took a bunch of pictures of the Dart. Just got it home this past weekend.

Thanks for the info. I will try this. It really looks great!
