that blows! my neighbors are from jersey, moved here about three years ago. they bought a house in fla. now and have the one for sale here.

I'm curious to know what taxes you are speaking about that you don't have to pay in TN?

i am refering to the personal property tax on everything you guys title in S.C. we don't have that or state income tax! you guys get screwed down there. i lived there for 13 yrs. and was ready to get out when i left 13 yrs ago. more money too be made here for what i do and more jeepin places up here!

Do you have pics of the property?

Are they going to develop the hell out of the area?

Electricity, well, city water, city gas, propane?

Is it on a nuclear waste dump?

Kidding.

I was just over your way this weekend, Wracks; had to take my younger daughter back to UT. Spent Sat-Sun in Knoxville, helping pump $ into the local economy.

im still wondering what the winters are like there,,,in tn

I moved here from PA. in '97 and haven't looked back, weather-wise.
If we get snow here it's a major event. Usually a bad winter day is cold rain, with warmer days to follow in short order afterwards. I take my Dart out almost every weekend as my errand car. This latest cold snap is unusual for here. Chalk it up to algore and the Global Warming hoaxsters.

We have a number of cruise nights starting in April and running into late Fall here around Nashville. There is no vehicle inspection here in TN., except for in metropolitan areas there is annual emissions inspection, and older cars are exempt from it. It's not like PA., where we had the left front window inspection sticker system. When your annual vehicle registration comes up for renewal (handled through the county in which you live) you have to take your regular driver/late model car to the local emissions testing station and they charge you $10.00 for the test. The "passed" certificate goes in with your application for registration renewal and the county sends you either the new sticker for your tag or a new tag.
I was a PSP Trooper in PA. and it took me a long time after I left that job to stop looking at oncoming cars to see if their inspection sticker was valid; used to stop quite a few of those.

sounds like a lot of pluses,,,,,,,now to find work lol,,,,so im assuimg ur close to nashville,,with out looking at a map,,,ide think thats central tn ?

i went by the 911 center today and they gave me an address if anybody wants to look it up,if will even show anything.

lmao! better you than me brother. i grew up in that **** in northern ohio as a kid. no offense, but ohio blows! i love the snow, but 34 degrees and raining for months sucks!

Brother you are so right!

in our area, about 4-6" for the winter usually. thats spread over a few months.

about 3 weeks ago we had a dusting at the house. drive about 30 min. and we were in around 1 1/2-2 feet at 5500 feet on the cherohola skyway.

hell yea! power tour comes through chattanooga this year,an hour away! was in bristol last year.

i am in soddy daisy about 15 mins north of chattanooga but i am looking to buy some property i would probably be interested in checking it out how far is the land from watts bar nuclear plant and is it pretty flat

i would say no more than 25 min. from watts bar. the lot is a beautiful buliding lot! plenty of room for a house as well as a big shop. we were planning on a decent size house and a 40x100 shop. we kinda decided to stay where we are at now. if it doesn't go we'll just sit on it for a rainy day. call me if you want to come check it out. 423-404-3244 thanks, eric
