m2 diecast anybody else into these

I badly wanted to get the 100 anniversary Mopar ones when Walmart had em but at the time I didn't have the extra jangle...

i saw those, i just wasnt feeling it with the black n blue paint jobs for the mopar ones, and the blue n white ones. didnt buy any of those. i did buy the 50 years of hemi 71 challenger and 71 cuda in white with hemi orange stripes. those are very nice models.

Its been awhile before i could get to taking pix, but heres my collection. My wife got me the Cuda race car hauler, Hurst shifters truck, and the ford truck with Ford Torino as christmas gifts.

I'd like to get the Edelbrock auto haulers truck, and the E-T wheels auto hauler truck, and possibly the limited edition SEMA car carrier. with ZL-1 camaro drag car and mustang cobrajet drag car.

i am going to pick up the wild card 68 Cuda Hemi drag cars soon. since they have an Olds 442 casting, I'd like to see em make a Hurst Olds too.

i think thses are very nicely detailed models for their size and price. i collected 1/18 scale but those are just too friggin big. i still have them, but these stack nice, and in the cubes they are easy to keep clean and dust free.

Those look small in the picture. those 1:87th scale? (HO Scale) by chance?

I'd LOVE to find a couple Dodge cars in the 70's muscle cars in HO scale (Yeah, I got a few auto carriers that are "open sided"), that it look AWESOME going by in a train!!!!!

These are 1/64th. About the size of a hot wheels car. For the awesome detail in this scale these are quite inexpensive, plus they come in stackable clear boxes. If you find em online make sure to find the ones that say in "case" not in blister pack. The blister pack ones are mounted to a base but do not have the clear cover.

I collect the ones that strike my fancy bodystyle wise as well as color. not into collecting every color or variation. I like some of the 50s autothentics along with muscle cars and the auto haulers. Of course looking at the pix of my collection its a no brainer i love mopars the best tho LOL.

Still looking for the 57 bel air, 55 bel air, and the ford sunliner with the green tinted clear glass top. Plus a few other non mopars, the COPO 427 camaro, mustang boss 429, corvette split window.

If you decide to collect these, i gotta warn you they can be addictive. I find myself hitting the 2 Walmarts in my area at least once or twice a month looking for a car or 2 to add to my collection.

Thanks but. I got to "limit" myself just a bit (I do get carried away with things at times) And really, I was looking for the little ones that are 1:87th scale......... as they would have looked WAY better in a train set I'm trying to fill a auto carrier car with autos, instead of an empty car as the ones provided with the train car, are WAY to "toyish" for me.....

I have thought about collecting 1:64th scale tho, I do have a little of it, in Caterpillar so.....

Monogram as well as Revell i believe had 1/87th scale all ready assembled cars that were highly detailed, i believe hot wheels did some 1/87th in clear cubes as well. The Revell ones would prob be better suited to a working model railroad car as they were i believe all plastic except for the die cast chassis. They had some 60s muscle cars, and the only 80s cars i had seen by them were a buick GN, and camaro Z28.

A german company called Wiking made some very detailed 1/87th trucks and cars. Tho these were mostly based on European and German prototype.

Mat,
Yeah I don't recall Revel doing anything in "Auto's" in 1:87th, BUT Johnny Lightening Did as well as Maisto (spelling) as well.....

The weight of the cars doesn't matter, as the actual train car, as its a pretty big car, needs extra weight added to keep it on the track anyway.... SO, The diecast bodies doesn't hurt anything....I have a bunch bran X cars from Johnny Lightening in 1:87th but. I'd love to use Mopars in the "open" sided auto carrier train cars so they could be seen, AS those type cars were used in the days of Mopar Muscle!

Thats a sweet collection! With me, I'd HAVE to limit myself........ I got this collecting thing from both my parents and well, if I don't set boundaries, I'm gonna be in big trouble! LOL

SO, with that its "Mopar Only" for ole John......Whether that be 1:87th to 1:24th.....(Although, for my train "layout" ALL vehicles will be present in one form or another), but "Mopar" will prevail!

Yeah i have the collecting bug pretty bad too., i used to be into model trains as well. HO and N scales. I aold it all off and just,am into cars. I used to build plastic car models too, mut my close up vision, and steady hands are just a memory. This is why i like the super detailed M2 cars i can collect these, and get instant enjoymrnt . Used to take me a week or 2 to build one.

I got this little gem at wallyworld today for half price. The box was unopened however the cardboard was ratty, and the body was popped off the chassis. I planned on displaying it without the cardboard with my other M2 mopars anyways. A simple fix with a small phillips screwdriver and shes ready for the shelf. 69 Hemi road runner

1/24 scale and hot wheels muscle cars here. Would like to have a couple 1/24th 340 demons in top banana color.. Have about 30 in 1/24th and 50 hot wheels.
Yote

I just got a few more. I love the mopar cars. But am a sucker for the haulers. Especically the vintage hot rod parts ones.

Another MoPar M2 hauler for the collection. Got this one at Walmart. Its got a 66-67 charger on board w Direct><Connection logos on it

Picked up that very same one a couple weeks ago.....

And just last week, I got ahold of a Dodge COE semi hauler with a '68 SS/Hemi Cuda that had the Plymouth heart logo on the roof.

Perfect size to collect for a small space. Just too addictive. Have not seen the red M code fastback cuda yet in my walmart. I want one of those. They have a creme yellow 69 340 fastback with the kelsey hayes recall wheels on it too. I want one of those as well.

On a weekend away trip w the wife. I just had to stop at walmart. It was calling me. Well we needed a bottle of wine, and i had to take a detour through the diecast aisle. I hit the motherlode on detroit muscle. I dont collect the entire release just the individual models that interest me from each release.

Those all look great. I haven't seen them up here but I don't get out much to Walmart. Next time I do I'll need to find an excuse to slip away from the wife for a while.

1/64th scale but super detailed w opening doors and hoods, factory colors, and the best part is the base and clear cube are moulded so they can be stacked on top of one another.

Hey Rick when did you get the red cuda fastback? I have been looking for that one locally. Have not found it.

I picked up the red 69 Cuda fastback up about 3-4 weeks ago. I actually bought two of them when I had the chance.....found them in a Fred Meyer store here locally.
