Yeah the RR is primarily a full on street car and will be raced with muffs, driven to the track and back (hopefully).

I like to take the view of “never say never”....... so I’m happy to just sit back and see how it all unfolds.

That being said, if I had a customer here with a truck like that, looking for solid 11’s....... I wouldn’t be telling him it’s in the bag with a $3700 budget.

But I’ll still enjoy the show.

My son-in-law works at a mechanics shop. He does all the tires, brakes, shocks, wheel bearings, etc. He has never owned, worked on, or experienced carburetors. He has never set initial and total timing. Of course, except watching my cars run. He was here today talking how excited he is to learn.

We'll know we are in the 11's when we can get away from my sons Scat …. lol

We picked this up today - it's the small block we'll run for most of this year.

Time for him to install an engine.
If you plan it right, you could be working on your Duster while he works on the truck.:D

this is like the colonists..... He's ready to take on mission impossible.... I wouldn't be surprised if the truck rolls past my Duster in short time... LOL Commitment and enthusiasm go beyond ones expectations every time.

Nothing like a truck. I like it. Got mine down to 3064#, now that's with a short bed all steel but the hood. Original faded paint. 505 running 11.30s so far.[/QU

Nice Truck! Now you just have to tell us how you got it so light....PLEASE!!!

With acorns in the air filter here you would have probably paid around $500..
I realize though everything back East is generally $1,000 more... Also I'm not real keen on giving a lot of money for a post 74 vehicle that has to pass DEQ... It does help Drive the price down because people know you can't drive it on the street unless you spend a lot of money and getting it to pass DEQ...
Around here you couldnt get a truck that nice for less than 3 grand. No joke if you find a truck around here for 500 bucks its gonna be a complete rust bucket. Most everything around here that's older than 10 years old is a rust bucket.

same here... this was a fortunate find for us as well as we just don't see many in the local area.

I love trucks. Trucks are fun. Trucks are cool. Trucks are born slow, and tend to stay that way!! lol

But I eagerly await all that happens to the truck!!

Texas is a truck state. Ate up with trucks, but they have never been cheap here per se. Back in Missouriin the 90's, I would make a run down in and around and thru Ok. hunting anything worth buying, a pickup (Cummins), old Mopar or parts, trailers. They were way heaper than Texas!!!!!!

Houston is not far. It floods big time. Ate up with trucks ,many cheap, some went 5 ft and more under water!!!!!

But looks like you found a really solid pickup!!!!

There is a thread over on FBBO that says: Post your 10 second combos"!!!! I did not look but maybe out of 749 hits, there is one about a pickup!!!!!!

I doubt there are any limits over there!!! Go ten or else!! Hey those are B body guys!!!!!!!!
lol... and who would care if I said I was going to go 10's on 30,000 dollar budget?? :D What fun would that be?? :D
