Meet the Beast!! 10's on 5k???

And I said okay you have to get into word games so I retracted the accusation accusation LOL and changed it to wild claims so everyone from here on forward can go back and insert wild claim where accusation was...
Wild claims would be a accurate of your meaning.

I have zero problem with anyone saying this truck will never go 10's. I have no issues with them saying it won't even go 13's. But if you are saying I start threads just to start banter, now we lose about 3 pages, then somebody else jumps in, gets mad, fights start, and then it's lost. Time and time again.
So what you're saying is you never start threads that have wild claims in the title?..

Well I'll just move forward hear the obvious answer is yes LOL.. so on the toes of the yes that is obvious to my question you don't think on a forum where a lot of us have experienced with building engines and racing them that this isn't a wild claim open for banter?...

wild claims? I prefer extreme challenge is correct. If I said "14's for 5k", what kind of lame project or goal would that be? I truly believe we would have hit 10.9's if we had a 3k lbs vehicle. I absolutely admit (and have admitted) the truck has made this extremely difficult. But we are still going to try. Thus, the reason for three question marks after "10's for 5k" now.. look at the title

By your own words, I believe I've been racing cars on the track about 20 more years than you. So, you can take your "us having experience" and spread that on your lawn, that out to really make the grass grow!

I had several thought to post up, but after page after page of whatever this is called. I have for got what it was i wanted to say.....................................

I have my doubts about his goals too.........i will just say this, and other should do the same.

Does the truck have a 9 1/4 if so it most likely has 3.55 gears that year.

8.25 and the tag under the hood said 3.5, so I''m assuming 3.55's. I haven't crawled under it yet, we are in the middle of a snow storm

Come-on Spring. This site is going downhill fast.
I honestly have no control over it. Jpar does this on any thread that's not his. But do it in his and you'll be scorned. I made a thread of our pickups racing where he and I can throw mud, but he won't reply. Unless he post something relevant to topic on hand, I'll just stay out of the mud with him :)

Exactly where we are going. Plate/insure it, clean it up, weigh it, and start weight reduction while we get it mechanically running much better.

That is why there is an ignore button. lol. It works great.

I like what 318 is trying to do, can it be done, sure, with the right setup certainly.
I will not throw stones or add my opinion on his quest.
He does what he does with what he has on his terms.

I value your opinions on BB's. I've been about 98.5% small blocks for almost 35 years. I may pick your brain from time to time ….
