Mini Tubs

Well the Mini Tubs are finally complete!! Geeezz don't want to do that job again...I got my rims and got to order my 295/50 R 15 tires for the rear.....

All that hard work pays off with 295/50/R15s fitting inside the wells with 1 1/4 clearance on both sides...Now to get the housing cut down..!!

Looks awesome! Those early A's look killer with lots of meat under them. I just got done mocking up the 315/60s under my 66 earlier today. Time to finish weld the relocation boxes now. Keep it up!!

wow those both look great and you are tempting me to do my 65. They do look awesome with big meats under there!
 
Yes... I am installing a RMS 4 link but still need to use the relocation brackets under the frame
 
That looks great! It makes me want to get busy on mine. I need to finish building the wood body structure on the '29 Oakland I'm restoring first. I need a bigger garage and a job that takes up less of my time! LOL
 
Looks awesome! How much clearance do you have from the top inside of the tire to where the trunk cross brace cuts into the tubes? If you switch it a taller tire will that be a problem?
 
The trunk cross brace doesn't enter the wheel tub so there is plenty of room for a taller tire....

what size trailer fender did you use ?
I have a 66 Plymouth valiant

I did check with those guys and they told me that they don't sell a tub kit for a "66" Dart.. they did offer me to take my car to there shop and they would use it for a proto type for a kit but I'm about 9 hours from them... to far !!! Thanks for the info ...

free for the use of ur car, or at cost to you ? If free, I would have hauled it to them w/o a drivetrain in it .

I ground off the lip on the first side I did and found that it made the metal very thin for welding the back plate to the frame...on the other side I pie cut the lip... then bent those cuts straight up... much easier and stronger welds that way...
