Working on my custom car parts again!
Not yet. but I think the dart is first. since it's a lot easier shape.Fascinating. That said, does ANYONE make a soft pad for 1965 Valiant Signet?

Nigel, who did your plastic chrome work? It's looks great.
Are you ready to make a sale? Really love these.I was always wanting a copy of the later model A's glove box liner. I knew that originally we (63-66) A owners had a molded glove box liner but it was made from paper! that sucks, since I live in Florida where paper and moisture sort of don't mix too well. So here is my latest attempt for a remedy. It's not perfect yet (overheated the plastic and got bubbles in it, miss-located a hole and had little bit of webbing to work with and a ***** of a time getting it off the mold) but hey it FITS and won't fall apart!
old one and a test new one

in this pic you can see the hole I missed on (right upper screw dang it 1/8th off) and the small web on the same side lower corner. but it fits, works and WON'T fall apart in moist weather.

I am happy with it as a good part right now. But I'll continue to fix the webbing issues since I am going in the right direction finally instead of just burning up plastic!

I'm working as fast as I can , Supply issues are killing me since they closed down for 3 weeks already and just opened up and only had 1/2 the stuff I ordered. BUT I think your pieces (middle pic is what you wanted right?) are in the first batch of top trim I'm forming and cutting out Sunday.I’m closer to needing those rear quarter parts!

those are all the pieces I'm getting ready to run Sunday(hopefully I can figure out ho to cut the glove box and the larger outer side pieces out.). you don't mind white ones do ya?..... Yea I know, so far nothing that effects me has shut down... yet.
for sure the top pieces but I do remember the upper half of the panels being brittle... I want everything eventually the top pieces and the upper sides

just the white pieces so far.(top 2 pictures) The larger complete bottom piece (3rd picture )is in the works but it won't be exactly like stock. (wrong grain and 3/16" thick ABS, so it'll never crack and discolor on the bottom part again.)Are those white and black panels the rear interior panels? I would be interested in a set of those as well as mine are showing thier age these days.
66Dvert. Have you tried using a dremmel style tool for trimming your parts? I've had good results with trimming 3D printed parts.WHO??? not me for sure. If you were to see my oops's then you might(nope make that Would) change your opinion. I have a stack of failures still waiting on the bin to fill up so I can take them to the re-cycle center. (hint it's the second load coming up.. ) that glove box in the picture that is going in my car cost me at least $400.00 so far. But it's all downhill from here if I can learn how to jig it up for straight cuts. Each one of these pictures is a failed pull, and that is just on this session.View attachment 1715381197 View attachment 1715381198 View attachment 1715381199 View attachment 1715381201
It' not really the actual trimming that is the problem. it's making it look good instead of a jagged cut I'm making a jig to put the part in thenusing an Air grinder with a 0 flute bit to ut the thicker stuff out (like the glove boxes) and for the bigger side panel top pieces I'm having to revise the mold so a cutter has a built in guide to cut it out, the parts are great, it's just the operator of the machinery that has an issue this is the next one in line since the boss is paying for it, 1967 Lincoln convertible rear (in the trunk) wheel well smoother liners that go under the trunk liners66Dvert. Nah. I'll only post em when I got em. And the amount I have plus how much they cost. I just have a list of people who want it. But I'll make sure to post it in the for sale area when they are ready.
