Been paying 5.50+ and over $6 for 93 octane since Spring and 2 DDs take it plus the vintage. Thank goodness for OT.

I like it in Columbus but it needs so much better organized. Norwalk may draw a bigger crowd. I am sure it is an enormous undertaking to put the show on but it it just no longer the same show. Midway is gone, Dodge is no longer present... Doesn't help that Dodge is now sponsoring RoadKill Nights and it was the same weekend on Woodward Ave.

They were also their own worst enemy. The largest class by far for racing was the Sportsman class. On Saturday, when they were watching the radar and saw rain coming at the track, they ran all classes for their 2nd time run and stopped at the Sportsman class. Stopped it right there so they could spend 45 minutes or so on a burnout contest that involved maybe 5 cars(?) as the rain approached! This after a wasted effort to run a Pro Mod car that couldn't stage and had to get towed back to the pits. You could certainly do a burnout contest if it rains but you cannot run the Sportsman class down the track if it rains. Who thought THAT was a good idea!?!? They got lucky when the rain hit that it was just a sprinkle and caused only a minor further delay. Could have been a washout for the rest of the day.

Little things like that add up. As stated, the Midway is no more too. With all those rabid car nuts in atendance, nobody wants a spot on the Midway? Put the big vendors from the swap meet there just to make it look good! Need some marketing savvy here!! All us Mopar nuts gathered in one spot for 2-3 days? Take advantage of it!!

Rant over....:BangHead::mad::mob:

Carry on...
