I was wearing my "Got Mopar?" forabodiesonly shirt hoping someone would recognize it lol. But I didn't get around enough I supposed and was wearing a jacket half the time.
That Petty Challenger was one of my favorite cars there. It was a SWEET ride.

Well dang. Maybe next time we can shoot the bull.
As far as how the car ran, yes and no. I didn't expect to hit 10's that day (first time drag racing) and I was stoked about that, but I expected the car to hook a lot better with the 4 link. Ran a best of 10.89 with an "OK" 60 ft of 1.6X. So with it being a street car, I'm happy with that knowing it still has 2 or 3 tenths more in it with tuning. When I had timing set at 28 degrees (which is what I run for 91 octane), it ran a 10.99 on my second pass with a 1.7X 60ft. That's when I got excited knowing it was into the 10's with the timing pulled back and an amateur driver like myself behind the wheel. Nothing broke except that I lost my alt belt at some point and didn't notice till I got home. So all in all, it was a really good day!

I didn't really take any as I normally would as a spectator. But my wife took some. Here's a few that she was taking of the car that a few other A Bodies got into. I see Mike's white hood in one of them lol.
I don't remember this guy's name but I think he had a white Duster? He and I talked while they were cleaning the track up. Super nice guy.

I ended up setting w/ my old partner on the hemi. missed talking to everyone much like last yr. maybe we should all get a fabo hat so we can recognize each other. " did" get to talk to bill , todd a little, and asa a small amount. that black and red streaked notchback barracuda was fast! the blue 68 barracuda in the car show was very impressive, I thought, course I`m partial to 68 barracudas. wish the whole deal was a little bigger tho-------------bobI didn't really take any as I normally would as a spectator.
