Found this 56 Imperial in a private junkyard outside of Havana, Florida. Bought it cheap for the 354 Hemi motor. Got to looking at it better when I got it home. Had lots of dents from someone using a tractor or the like to push it around the lot, but it was very solid. Also was a 2dr hardtop with factory air. Decided it was too nice to part out, so sold it through the Imperial website to someone who has since restored it.

Yep, engine went with it. I didn't have the heart to separate engine/car. I can scrap some things, but a factory air 56 Imperial 2dr hardtop in almost rust free condition? Nah. . . .Awesome, glad it was saved! Did you sell it with the engine? My uncle did the same thing with a 56 Imperial 4-door, he pulled the engine for a Chrysler street rod project and sold the car, think someone put it back on the road? That happens a lot to these old ones
Could've been bad memories for some.Jeep looks newer than the cars and probably was in great shape after the war….this happened to countless ones
