Hey thats where the 400 and 727 for my Dart came from! Got my own entry for fugliest. along with the worst advertising.
One plant could have, in fact, stopped the entire model since Bowling Green is the ONLY Corvette plant in the world. The 82 Vette sucked! And it was a factor in their decision. One plant wouldn't have stopped a hot model. I just saw a whole car episode on that subject. (It was those late morning Motor Trend shows.) It was not good times in American auto industry.
And who seized the opportunity? JAPAN
And these Dodge 880’s...front doesn’t even look like a MoPar....

you're right, that one only looks good in orange
That thing is one ugly vision of the future. I wonder where they got a 440 in '56? 10 years before the 440 was introduced? Maybe the RB wedge design is older than we were led to believe?
I agree on the Superbird. And so did the public back in 70. The 69 Daytona didn't sell well either. I personally believe most all B-bodies '69s looked better than '70. Just my personal taste of course. To each their own but for me it's any of the beaker cars. I'm also not a huge fan of the rear end on the 70 and up Darts. The front end change was nice looking on a 70 Dart, if only they would have left the rear end like the 67-69's (my opinion).
Lastly I think Superbirds are kinda ugly. Way to slab sided and long. Daytona's are much better looking.
70 roadrunner is a car I wouldn't get caught dead in I think it's the ugliest car Chrysler has ever made they went totally backwards in the 70s except for the darts and the eBody1970 was pinnacle of road runner styling IMHO. I think they used up all their talent on that, and the 70 coronet got the leftovers.
JC. You can hide this butt ugly black charger in my garage any time you want. I would give it a good home.
cool looking Toad...Can someone explain to me, or point me somewhere what TOAD means? I've seen it here before, and googled it which wasn't much help.
Yeah that's what I was thinking to somebody must have blew up the original 440 in it GTX s were 440 or Hemi only
I dont think the 383 was optional on the GTX. Kinda like the charger R/T was 440 or HEMI only. The 440 was standard in the GTX. The 383 was an option as was the hemi. Kind of backward.

The 82 Vette sucked!
Dodge was naming big cars 330's and 440's way before the engine?
