Most don't know how to tell the difference. I asked, was shown the little pad RB engines have, problem solved!
Thanks to the owner and his ability to listen and teach a simple thing.
Years ago I had a 71 Roadrunner that was a factory 383 car with 383 call outs on the hood. I built a 440 for it and told everyone (chevy guys) it was a 383. One day I was in town eating lunch and the ballast resistor went out so I went to the NAPA store and bought one and was changing it in the parking lot when the guy who worked there (chevy guy) came out. He looked at the engine and said "that's a 440"! I asked him how he knew and his reply was "a 383 has wide valve covers like a big block chevy". I told him you're right, I can't fool you. LOL
