My new daily driver. 1984 dodge rampage

More problems with the rampage. Intermittently the turn signal dash lights, highbeam light, come on and the volt gauge drops, and the blower motor doesn't work. Happens more when cold. Was able to tap on the dash and get it working. Hoping its just a loose ground.

Bad ground.

Wow! You're way more ambitious than I am. That frame rot would tell me it's time to move on.

No clue what these are next to the coil. Hoses are junk.

I'm going thru the same stuff with my 1984 Rampage
The stuff near the coil is all connected to the charcoal canister (look up underneath to find the canister itself) Most of it is unneeded but some of it provides the vent for the gas tank, so figure that out to retain some sort of vent.
The thing on the firewall that looks like it is missing a hose is actually a fresh air bleed for the kicker solenoid on the carb (look for big dash pot behind the throttle) - no hose goes there. The Weber 32/36 would eliminate all of that. There should be a vacuum hose diagram on the drivers side strut tower.

If you really want to de-smog it, you could consider what I'm planning - install an MSD programmable 6AL box and set the advance curve with your laptop. It works with the Hall Effect distributor on the car that has no advance in it at all since all the advance comes from that 1980s computer behind the battery (air intake goes through it). Then you can get rid of the computer and run a new intake hose from the radiator support to the air cleaner.

Given that you are in a really cold place, you might want to figure out how to retain the other air intake hose that goes down to the exhaust manifold to get that baby goin' in the morning! There are a pair of heat triggered vacuum switches behind the thermostat housing - one provides vacuum when hot and the other provides vacuum when cold. Figure out which is which and then use the one that provides cold vacuum to operate the air door in the air cleaner.

I found a real community and lots of info (like a mini- FABO) on the Rampage Facebook page and the L-body Facebook page
