My search for a shorty D100 is over

It’ll get lowered because that’s the vision I’ve had in my head for 15 years for a short wide that I’ve wanted to own. The slant gets a stay of execution for now because I dont need another project but one day I promise it’ll hit the shop floor.

Don’t worry I won’t throw it away. The falcon’s 6 cyl has been on the floor of my garage for 5 years cause I can’t throw stuff away. I’ll probably offer up the slant for free to anyone here if I do yank it.

Honestly I have no idea if they’re anodized. I figured I couldn’t make it worse than it was and I’m shocked by how nice it is. I’ll say this, the stripper didn’t damage the metal at all. To me the grille looks the same as all of the tin grilles I’ve looked at.

Well it's a super cool lookin little truck. Maybe a stone stock 440 Super Commando?

You’re ok ditchin the slant 6 for a 440 super commando but not a magnum crate engine? I thought I HAD to keep the slant? They get no respect right?
I’ll say this, it is marginally better now that I adjusted the cable to pull the carb all the way open.

Well, you're gonna ditch it anyway so I might as well get onboard.
 
And screw a Magnum. That swap is almost as overdone as an LS. A big block would be a cool surprise when you open the hood. Kinda like a ......wait for it.......SLANT 6. lol
