Lookin good! I'm thinking of getting another 1 & do a flat blacked out cruiser
Thanks Sedanman, I just got tired of all the different colors one day and just rattle can it. Once I straighten out the front sheet metal will put some real paint on it. For now at least I can drive it around.

Is that lower quarter patch in photos on page 1 hand bent?
No it isn't I wish my fav skills were that good. We used and parts 70-76 A body trunk extension part#mm 1424 and 72-76 quarter patch panel# mm1459 from classic industries worked out great....

Your repair stopped behind the wheel arch. Would that patch panel have the correct wheel arch? (I'm restoring a 70 Valiant that has some rot in the lower rear arch on one side).

Imo I don't think so. The panel that we used we could only use up to the first body line. I think I would call AMD and ask them. Good Luck...

A little update just put another flip top gas lid (used original better than the repop i got that broke) on the valiant. Pick it up a few weeks back at Maplegrove. Pictures to follow. Also picked up some parts from Oldmanmopar thanks Steve. Put rear bumper on today. Didn't get to the front one yet. Thanks for looking. its slow going but going.

Looking good here man! Glad ya got the cap thing sorted out.

Hey guys... Is there a 67-72 Valiant "group" on here? If not we should make one! Keeping to just this body style and gathering all of us would maybe help regarding parts that are needed etc....
Sorry I hi-jacked you thread with this! Seems there are several of us here at your thread! :)

After replacing the worn out rear leafs with new SS springs (002,003) the car sat to high for my taste. So I picked up those front spring hangers and brought it down like an inch. A couple before and after pics...

Valiant is still sleeping... only fired up twice this year... Might change out the green freeze for some new red stuff...

69383valiant, Thanks for you documentation above, from almost 10 yrs ago, very helpful! In your msg you said... "They don't make anything for valiant. I got the trunk extension and lower quarter patch from Classic Industires both are AMD parts,70-76 A-body trunk extension# MM1424 and quarter patch panel 72-76 A-body #MM1459 Both worked great" ... Question: Were these parts a perfect fit or did they require modifications? If so, what needed to be done? I'm in the process of trying to do a very 'faithful' restoration of a 67 Signet, and both of these parts, from both sides, probably need replaced. I see that the MM1424/5 are still available, and they look promising. I didn't find MM1459. Any help or guidance is appreciated. Thanks.

Hi Harold, The trunk extension has a lip that was bent flat to slip in under the tail light then bent back down and tack welded in place. Other than that fit perfectly. The lower quarter patch only works up to the first body line. It matches up with the drop off perfect. Only have to trim the width in the wheel well. I can take pictures this weekend if needed.. Dave.
