Name that clip! (pic)

Well fellows and gals I found out where the dang mystery clip came from!

It came off of the engine stand!

It holds the wheel on to the stand. I noticed while cleaning up my garage that the wheel on engine stand was about to come slap off of the stand. I mean it was barely hanging on. I looked at the other side and that is when I saw the clips twin brother holding the other wheel on. I would have died it that engine would have tipped over. Where the motor is located it would smashed the side of my car! All is well now because the clip and washer are back on. I must have kicked with my foot or something. That's what I get for buying a engine stand.

Let the ragging begin........LOL!

Good job Matlock!! Well at least you can sleep easy tonight now that you know! Whats your time frame for having that engine in there. BTW, what part of A-Town do you live? I was down off Clemson Blvd helping my Bro with his 74 vette most of the day today and would love to come check out that fish sometime.

I can't really set a time frame but would like to have it sprayed next weekend if I'm lucky. LOL.

Once I get it sprayed I will have to install the wires,headlight relays,clutch fork,z-bar,brakelines etc...LOL!

That woudn't be a problem. I'll PM you my address and phone numbers.

My car is a mess right now.

I would have to agree with you on it coming from the interior. Just guessing but do you think it has something to do with the vent box assembly? The door that closes and opens has came loose on my car and I took the rod out a while back because it was just flopping around.

Sorry about the delay. Been too busy to get back on the forum... I don't think it came from the left side door but it could be from around the heater box where the cables connect or the back of the control panel. If it were larger I'd say it was the spring from the accelerator pedal.

Check out my post #26. You will get a laugh out of it. That's what I get for buying a "cheap" engine stand.
