I have a 75 caprice classic convertible. I spent a good part of the day tuning checking things out getting ready to put it on the road. When I went to move it to the other bay to put it on the hoist , it started puking trans fluid out of the rad, cap was not on,pretty much emptied my trans in that short move. Is this just a hole in the trans cooler or could it be something worse? 350 motor.
Thanks (freaking out a bit don,t need serious problems):-k

about the only thing it could be is a bad trans cooler tank in the radiator.

*disclaimer* i know nothing about a chevy caprice

Did you guys know that coolant in an automatic is pretty much a done deal killer for the trans?
Coolant disolves the glue that holds the friction material on the disks and bands.

AND it doesn't matter what make the car is. (Same result)

That happen to my Cheeroke I just put on an aftermarket cooler and changed the tranny fluid 5 years later still going but I've could of been lucky.

I thought of that, I will check it and swap fluid and filters if there is any sign.
I appreciate the help guys. :prayer:
