Yes!

And from the look of that 3/4 lever on the front of the side cover facing down instead of up, it may be an overdrive.
 
I'm not 100% sure but where the trans bolts up to the bellhousing it looks a bit like the 3 speed pattern. It looks like there is another wider set of holes on the bell housing that would be for the 4 speed.
 
If you wind up buying the trans, one sure fire way to tell if it's an O/D or 1:1 A833 is by looking in the side cover and examining the gears. Especially the countershaft cluster gear.

On a regular 1:1, the gears on the countershaft progressively get smaller from the front to back. On an O/D, the 3rd gear, which is the 2nd to front gear, is replaced with a .73:1 gear. So this means the the gears from front to back go large, then largest, then progressively get smaller to the back.

This is why they flipped the arm down on the front of the side cover, because the gear actuation using the shifter in it's H pattern actually shifts the gears 1-2-4-3, since 3 is now O/D.

They may use the bell for other applications. Not sure, but possibly 4wd? That looks like an A833 O/D to me, in the craigs ad.

That is a slant bell in the pic posted, but you can see the side cover on the trans has ten bolts and the additional large bolt pattern up front.

you can also see the levers facing up. The one in the ad has the front facing down, which is a sign of an O/D trans. The 318 mated to it looks late, too, which is another sign that the entire engine and trans likely came from a truck or van. It does not have the A/F body tailshaft housing or short main shaft, but there are a lot of people who use them in A body cars.
 
Thanks guys, leaving on a road trip to get it. The seller thinks it is 84 dodge truck, my eyesight is so bad that i couldn't tell from the fuzzy picture.

400 bucks motor and tranny, and the motor supposed to run, no smoke.
 
Yeah, if he thinks it's from an '84 truck, I picked that up just by the valve covers with raised vent ports and the tailshaft having the double shifter mount locations on it. Looks like it has an edelbrock 4bbl too. Nice find!

If the front lever is facing down and nobody has messed with it, it's likely an overdrive trans.

If you aren't going that direction and want 1:1, gear sets and main shafts swap, no problem. Check the thread about swapping O/D and 1:1 gears.

There is also an article on here about how to use the long shaft trans with the A body. You could get a short main shaft and housing to swap it, too.

That engine may or may not have 302 heads and it looks like it's sporting a 90 degree oil filter adapter, which is a bonus. If you pull the valve cover, look for casting numbers that end with 302. It's unlikely, but worth checking. If it does, you scored closed chamber swirl heads with that setup.
 
Got it! Guy even put the shifter back on while I was on the way and gave me a "gas" discount because I came so far. If he wasn't such a GM head he would make a hell of a good MOPAR guy.
