Need help finding my old car

hi does anyone know how someone could go about finding an old car I use to own, I don't have the vin but I do know what state it was last in? Ill post pics on here and maybe someone here will know or is the owner. But until then is there any other way to go about it?

I guess you could google pics for the year and make of your car, maybe someone has posted a picture of it.
