a couple updates: Wagner WC 113704 is discontinued

Raybestos 37696 is listed on the Raybestos site as a .594 bore

Any updated info, or if I'm doing something wrong, would be welcome

do you have a proportioning valve?

if so i wouldn't be so hung up on the size as much as the quality of the components.

lemme see if i can dig up my past rock order or if i have a itemized shipping ticket kicking around here somewheres.... shoot, i might even still have the darn boxes. i'll have a poke around.

Yes this is a factory brake system K-H front/ 10 inch drum rear - distribution valve plus proportioning valve in the rear line.

just an additional note while glancing at my rock orders (besides weeping softly at the sheer amount of money i spend on parts) i used the bosch riveted drums on my falcon when i did that in august and while it's a 9" application i can tell you that i was very pleased with the quality of the pieces and the performance-- the shoes that were on there weren't slap *** wore out, but these were almost night and day difference.

the dynamic friction hardware kits were kinda trash, so spend the dosh for the carlson or bestos stuff in that department.

The wheel cyls are listed for a 1988 Dakota with 10inch rear brakes IIRC.

Don't know about the quality, but just ordered a set of bosch shoes from this ebay retailer for my '61 Valiant practice car, really reasonable with free shipping: Bosch Brake Shoes for sale | eBay. Anyone know where I can get a grease cap and the straight bar with spring that spans the two shoes? Somebody had a front shoe lining slip off and evidently lost some parts when they put it back together.

Has anyone had premature rear wheel lock up. I never had so just asking.
No expert here, but I read once that a bad or incorrect Proportion valve can cause that. Last year I install a 70 dart K/H system in my 69 drum 340 and part of the change was to change the PP valve. I did not and I have no issue with braking, but I do not drive my car in the rain. Also my car original had power drums. Not sure if that is why I have no issue.

You'd be steering in circles as your car spins out......Not good.
Ultimately, I would want all 4 to lock up at the same time, my thinking was just before all 4 lock it would give the opportunity to veer left or right to avoid hitting someone or thing. Not defending what I said. I know you can pump your brake to regain some steering but in an emergency you may not have a chance. Hey, it isn't the 1st time I've got things Bass ackwards.lol
