New forum group, Nor-Cal Mopars

I was looking into the cost for new set of race tires for the Valiant. Not sure it's going to fit into next year's budget. Depends on how our taxes work out.

Keep me posted. You might also want to venture into the Yahoo group Mopax. The guy who owns the group lives in the Santa Cruz mountains as does one of the other active members. It's a group dedicated to Mopars that handle and they all know your car.

Up the road on peabody from vanden. Last set of houses before you go over the hill on the left.

I drive that a couple times every other week heading to Travis. I've always thought, I could live here. It looks like a nice area.

Yea it's not a bad place to live. I've only been here 34 years aside from some time in Texas so that's gotta say something. Getting real crowded though with everyone from the bay moving out here. Driving prices on houses up again.

I signed up for that group about a month ago. Not a lot of traffic there. Haven't had time to introduce myself to the group, though.

Still trying to get the Valiant registered properly. The DMV is being a pain. Friday I get to try again.

If any bay area folks are looking for a cruise, the Mid Peninsula Muscle Car Club is doing one this Sunday. Weather should be perfect.

"This Sunday January 25th, 2015 will be our annual Alice's Restaurant cruise.

To change things up a bit lets all meet at "Alice's Restaurant" around 10:00 AM and hang out for awhile. Alice's is located at 17288 Skyline Blvd
Woodside, CA 94062. You can get your coffee fix or breakfast there too if you like.

Then we will leave around 11:00 or so and head west down HWY 84 where it finally ends and intersects Highway 1.

Then head north on Highway 1 to we get to Cameron's Pub (1410 S Cabrillo Hwy
Half Moon Bay, CA 94019 ) We can stop for awhile there and regroup

Afterwards then head north again and end at The Surf Spot
4627 Coast Hwy Pacifica, CA 94044 for lunch."

Or, if you are disappointed that the 9ers aren't in the Super Bowl, there is this:

"February 1st 2015: Superdrive Sunday is back!

Now in it's 10th year, Superdrive Sunday is a single day driving event open to any and all vintage vehicles.

Unlike many road rallies, Superdrive Sunday actually encourages classic sports cars, sedans, wagons, jeeps, trucks, forklifts, and steamrollers to share the road in a one day assault on the forgotten South-Bay back roads.
Let's say you're a Corvette guy but have a Corvair Ramp-Side you never get to excercise. Bring it! Or perhaps members of your Bugatti club fraternity just don't understand your primer colored project Citroen 2CV? We get it, and welcome you! The route is less than 100 miles and it will even get you home before the game starts. (if that's your bag) Best part? it's 100% FREE.

February 1st... Nick's in Pacifica... 10AM. Hope to see you there.

The Super Drive Organizational Team"

I'm planning to do Superdrive. I don't have a muscle car currently available.

Man that sounds fun. A bit of a ways from me but that never stopped me before. New drivetrain in dart trying to get the bugs worked out of it. I'll try to make it, sounds fun. If nothing else I'll try to get the Tiger out there with my old man. What's the status on the Cuda max?

Gilbert isn't even answering my calls at this point. I may have to drop in on him unexpectedly. But the motor looks pretty.

Been pretty quiet around here. Thought I'd ask if anyone was planning to drive down to Spring Fling? April 11-12.

Still up in the air. Have a grandson due to be born just prior. Depending on what is going on I might make a Saturday day trip out of it.

i might be going to MATS, gonna be driving from Gilroy/Hollister area...but if not, then I will for sure go to spring fling.

Jim, I know you're a 'vert guy... My plan for Fling is to drive down with my brother in his 67 Barracuda convertible. I talked him into bringing it down from Oregon. First appearance in California. We would be driving down the coast on Friday,

I say it's my brother's car, but it's really my whole family's. No one wanted to sell it when my dad passed away. My brother was keeping it in his big shed at Crooked River Ranch, but he sold the property, and his new house is still being built. So he was going to leave the car with me and fly back.

I have the itinerary from the Coastal Cruise a few years back. It used to leave from Seaside around 9am. I would be leaving from Menlo Park at 8am to more or less be on the same schedule. This would be a Friday cruise down Hwy 1. I wanted to make a stop in Lompoc to meet a buddy who has a 67 Barracuda FB and is working on a 69 Polara CHP car (we could see work in progress). He'll be at Fling, too, but probably with his truck, and he wasn't driving down until Saturday AM. I'm staying at the Airtel.

Anybody?

We're still up in the air. We might not know until Friday whether we're going or not.

Anybody know if the Wed evening car gathering that used to happen at Scott & El Camino in Santa Clara ever found another permanent spot?

Thanks for sharing. Sucks that it's in Alviso, though. It will be hard for me to get there after work in a reasonable amount of time.

Any one have an extra drive shaft around? I need one to cut to fit for my duster. Thanks, Mike. 360-904-8.25
