Guy you always do great work on all your cars. Love the build. Now if you would of put a 5.7 hemi in that sunbeam I would of fainted.
Thanks Fuji!
If you read my build my plan was to originally do a small block mopar or what you suggested in an Alpine. After much measuring and head banging it just would not fit and it is still an old car with no modern features. When the S2000 came up for sale it was just too hard to pass up.

You wanted to put a 340 into the Sunbeam? I could have told you that wouldn't fit. Remember, Chrysler bought Sunbeam while it was still building Tigers. Ma Mopar wanted to replace the Ford small block with their small block, but no way... For one thing, the distributor would be under the cowl behind the dashboard — a little inaccessible for setting the points. So they shut down Tiger production, to general dismay. Your build looks awesome, BTW.

Thanks,
The distributor was not an issue because I would have been using a F.A.S.T. engine management. Also the magnums do not have a distributor. It came down to having a narrow 50+ year old car with no modern features.
You are right, many diehard Mopar people didn't even know that Chrysler owned the Sunbeam in the end.

Guy either way the Sunbeam is badd azz. Love the body style.

I'm in Santa Rosa and looking for a 225 slant motor to start rebuilding or on that's recently built. I'd like to find something close to home here in the North Bay I could pick up without driving crazy distances on my day off work.

Hey, did I see your wagon parked on the side street that ends at the little honda motorcycle store off of Pope St in St Helena? A few years back for a couple of years?

Back on topic, I don't have any 225 engines.

I'm not sure that was it. For the past 2 years it's been in Santa Rosa with me. Previous owner had it for a bit deep in Sebastopol and I think before that it was up further north like Eureka-ish. Not out of the question tho, just not sure

i could show off go go green .

That's a neat ol' truck! It needs that slant in there! Thanks for posting it up. Love looking at engine bays with Slants in there.

Is that a garden hose in there?

Hi Gents, thought I'd join in, I'm in Atascadero CA. Hey bradmancan PM me I have something you might be interested in

I reached out to Dr. Dodge and got on his list for a rebuild. Thank you guys! The fun is only beginning. Next step is finding a cherry picker.
