I'd say leave it alone now that its torqued.
this was my 68 short box that I had, and sold it couldn't afford to fix it and my Scamp. Damn I miss it. but now I can fix up my Scamp.
yea you gotta love the truck. mine was a 350 4 speed no power steering but lots of funAlways liked the 67-72 chevrolet pickups. I had a 71 C/10 i built up w a 350, and a muncie 4 speed. I loved that truck.
I remember when the first year cummins in the dodge they were sure hard on the frames, but people had a smile on there face when they came in the body shop to get there frame back to specs. Ya gotta love all that torque.I bought my first chevy crew cab 454 4 speed 4:10 back in '76 ... I was in Ga and they were stupid about the price IF a dealer there even had one. I left work one Sun drove , my 73 1/2 chevy 454 to weatherford tx and traded!!!! got free set of mud flaps and saved a ton of $ even back then!!!!
I called in to work at 8 that mon and told her I would not be in> I never missed work. She asked what state I was in???? she knew it had to have something to do with a horse. ha
Those were my trucks till the cummins came in a dodge.
