Offenhauser \6 EFI

Very cool. I had wondered if Offenhauser would be open to partnering with somebody to develop EFI parts, and I'm glad to see it happened.

The bungs have been welded onto the runners, the intake isn't cast with them on it....

Since Gill is in the business of modifying intakes for EFI, it seems counterintuitive on his part to partner with a company that can effectively make products that takes away his business.

Dutra sold to Clifford, and then sold dutra duals to Australia....Spitfire sold out to Laysons..Im sure everyones getting royalties.

There is already a half a dozen or more Slant intakes that are EFI ready, Clifford's and all of Aussiespeed's. Gill does nice work, it'll be interesting to see what comes for this....

But none of the intake based bungs have line of sight to the back of the valve. Only really an issue when your counting % of HC at the tail pipe as in smog regs. That's why TBI moved to MPFI , just emissions. Anything efi with an O2 feedback is better than a 1920 or a BBS, even in good tune.

For some views from Chrysler Engineering on that matter, see Figure 17 and the block of text below it on page 9 of this paper.

yeah, I thought the injectors up in the roof of the head were the best spot. line of sight and away from the exhaust manifold heat. Bot as cool as in the intake runner but well see the results once I get off my *** and finish this.
